Dr YSR University of Health Sciences Invites Online Applications For PG Ayurveda, Homeopathy Courses

Andhra Pradesh: Dr. YSR University of Health Sciences has invited online applications for PG Ayurveda and Homeopathy courses for the academic year 2023-24.

As per the notice, the candidates can apply up to 6.00 PM on 05.11.2023. The date of release of the provisional merit list of the applied candidates, final merit position, and allotment letters will be announced later.

Application, Registration and Processing Fee -

1. For OC/BC Categories: - Rs. 5,900/- (Rs.5,000/-+Rs.900/- (Including GST@18%) plus Bank charges extra.

2. For SC/ST Categories: - Rs.4,956/- (Rs.4,200/-+Rs.756/- (Including GST@18%) plus Bank charges extra.

Verification Fee –

The candidates who studied BHMS courses outside the state of Andhra Pradesh/Telangana are required to pay an extra fee of Rs.3540/-(Rupees Three thousand five hundred and forty only) (Rs.3,000/-+Rs.540/- (Including GST@18%) towards the Degree Verification fee in addition to the above registration fee.

The procedure of filling online application form and payment of fee online -

1. The fee can be paid through a Debit card / Credit card or Net Banking.

2. The fee paid by the applicants is not refundable under any circumstances.

3. Read the Notification and prospectus / Regulations carefully regarding eligibility under local and non-local.

4. Visit the website through the Internet Explorer 11 version only to fill out the application form.

5. The Registration number, which will be sent to the registered mobile after entering the basic details, should be noted for further use. The Registration number should be kept confidential and should not be disclosed to others.

6. Fill - in all the correct details in the online application form and upload all the documents, including the certificates which are mandatory.

7. The following Certificates are required to complete the online application process. The original certificates are to be scanned and kept ready to upload. The application fee has to be paid through online.

Documents required along with the application form –

1. AIAPGET - 2023 Rank Card. (Mandatory)

2. Birth Certificate (SSC Marks Memo). (Mandatory)

3. Provisional or Original BAMS Degree Certificate. (Mandatory)

4. BAMS/BHMS study certificates. (Mandatory)

5. Compulsory Rotatory Internship certificate. (Mandatory) (or) undertaking as per Annexure – IV. (if the internship is going to be completed on or before 31.10.2023).

6. Council Registration Certificate. (Mandatory) (or) Annexure – IV. (if the internship is going to be completed on or before 31.10.2023).

7. Transfer Certificate / Undertaking Annexure-V as per Rule 3.4 (iv)

8. Residence certificate of the candidate or either parent issued by MRO / Tahasildar of Telangana/AP for a period of ten - years (Period to be specified with exact month and year) excluding the period of study/employment outside the state.

9. Employment certificate of parent (or) 1st to 10th class study certificates of the candidate/Parent (For Non-Local Status)

10. Caste Certificate, if applicable

11. Income and Asset certificate for Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) valid for the year 2023-24 (Financial year 2022-23) issued by Tahasildar of Andhra Pradesh for claiming reservation under EWS (candidates who are not covered under SC, ST & BC).

12. Aadhar Card.

13. Service certificate, if applicable.

14. Local status Certificate issued by MRO of AP (candidates migrated from Telangana to Andhra Pradesh (If Applicable)

15. Candidate’s Latest passport-size Photo (Mandatory)

Eligibility  –

MD (Homoeo) –

The PG Courses leading to Doctor of Medicine in Homoeo and open to the holders of the BHMS Degree of Dr. YSR University of Health Sciences and holders of the Degree of any other University/Statutory body included in the 2nd schedule to the IMCC Act, 1970.

As per the guidelines issued by the Ministry of AYUSH, Govt. of India, the candidates who secured the below noted minimum marks or above in AIAPGET-2023-24 are only eligible for admission into MD (Homoeo) courses –

MD/MS (Ayurveda) –

The PG Courses leading to Doctor of Medicine in Ayurveda and Master of Surgery in Ayurveda are open to the holders of BAMS Degree of Dr. YSR University of Health Sciences and holders of Degree of any other University/Statutory body included in the 2nd schedule to the IMCC Act, 1970.

As per the guidelines issued by the Ministry of AYUSH, Govt. of India, the candidates who secured the below noted minimum marks or above in AIAPGET2023-24 are only eligible for admission into MD/MS (Ayurveda) courses –

All candidates/Institutes participating in PG Counselling 2023 are informed in respect of the submission of the following mandatory documents at the time of reporting at the allotted institute -

Twelve months Compulsory Rotatory Internship Completion Certificate: Candidates who are going to complete their Twelve months Compulsory Rotatory Internship by 31.10.2023 as prescribed by the NCH are instructed to submit an undertaking (Annexure – iv) counter-signed by the head of the institution (The institution from where the internship is being perused) through online. Further, such candidates must submit their original compulsory rotatory internship certificate at the allotted institute on or before the last date for reporting as specified in the allotment order (if the seat is allotted) to the allotted institutes for 1st Round of PG Counseling, otherwise, his/her admission shall stand canceled. The vacant seats thus arose, if any, shall be added to 2nd round counseling and filled as per Rules.

BHMS Degree certificate/Provisional Degree Certificate -

If a candidate is not able to produce a valid Original Degree Certificate due to non-completion of internship at the time of applying for PG Counselling, in that case, the candidate shall submit an undertaking stating that he/she will submit the valid Original Degree Certificate to the allotted institute (if seat is allotted) on or before the commencement of date of PG Course (i.e.01st December, 2023) for the academic session 2023-24 as per NCH/State Homeopathy.

BAMS Degree certificate/Provisional Degree Certificate –

If a candidate is not able to produce a valid Original Degree Certificate due to non-completion of internship at the time of applying for PG Counselling, in that case, the candidate shall upload an undertaking stating that he/she will submit the valid Original Degree Certificate to the allotted institute (if the seat is allotted) on or before the commencement of the date of PG Course (i.e., 01st December 2023) for the academic session 2023-24 as per NCISM/State Ayurveda.

Permanent Registration certificate issued by NCH - 

Candidates who are not going to complete their Twelve-month Compulsory rotatory internship at the time of applying for PG Counselling, are instructed to submit a copy of the Provisional Registration Certificate at the time of reporting. Further, such candidates shall submit their Original Permanent Registration certificate at the allotted institute on or before the commencement of the date of the PG Course (i.e., 01st December 2023) for the academic session 2023-24 as already informed by NCH.

Transfer Certificate/College Leaving Certificate -

Candidates who are not going to complete their Twelve months Compulsory rotatory Internship at the time of applying for PG Counselling are instructed to upload an Undertaking (Annexure-V) stating that he/she will submit the Transfer Certificate/College leaving Certificate on or before the last date for reporting to the allotted college as specified in allotment order, for 1st Round of PG Counseling.

For in-service candidates, extra weightage of marks on length and type of service will be awarded as of 30.09.2023 -

1. Rural service - 8% per each year up to a maximum of 3 years.

2. Tribal service - 10% per each year up to a maximum of 3 years.

Seats available –

A total of 95 seats are available. 54 seats are available for PG Homeopathy and 41 seats for PG Ayurveda.

Reservations –

15%, 6%, and 29% of the seats available in each course shall be reserved for SC, ST, and BC, respectively. The 29% of seats for BC shall be distributed as BC-A-7%, BC-B-10%, BC-C-1%, BC-D-7%, and BC-E-4% as per the availability of seats.

The reservation of 10% in favor of Economically Weaker Section (EWS) candidates who are not covered under the existing scheme of reservation for SC/ST & BCs will be made as per the procedure/ guidelines issued by the Government of AP in the Government Medical Colleges where additional seats are permitted by Govt. of India for the purpose.

Out of the available seats for admission by the Dr. YSR University of Health Sciences, 5% shall be reserved for the Persons with Disability (PwD) in each category of OC, SC, ST, BC-A, BC-B, BC-C, BC-D and BC-E as per Government of India guidelines as per the availability of seats.

Admission to 85% of the seats specified in Regulation 2 above shall be reserved in favor of the local candidates, and 15% of seats shall be unreserved as per Presidential Order, 1974.

The process of admissions will be in accordance with the Orders issued by Government of Andhra Pradesh vide G.O.Ms.No.13, HM&FW(F2) Dept., dt.05.02.2021 and on par with PG (Dental) selection procedure as per G.O.Ms.No.136, HM & FW(C1) Dept, dt.12-10-2021 and any other orders issued from time to time by University, Govt. of A.P. and CCIM, New Delhi.

Scrutiny of uploaded data will be conducted by the officials of the University and other officials from the concerned Departments. After scrutiny of scanned certificates, a provisional merit list will be released, and then after final merit list will be released.

The certificate verification will be conducted based on the uploaded scanned certificates. No separate notification will be given for verification of Original certificates. The candidates claiming reservation under the PwD category are advised to watch the University website for further notifications.

Hence, the candidates should register and upload all the mandatory certificates without fail and verify them once again before submitting of online application.

The candidate should submit the Printout of the filled-in Online application form, Provisional verification form, and all Original certificates along with One set of self-attested Copies to the Principal of the allotted college at the time of joining for final verification. In case of any discrepancy, the Provisional allotment order will be canceled without any notice. The candidates are informed not to send the printout of the application form to the University.

Candidates admission is strictly provisional. The mere fact that the Merit position issued to him/her does not imply that his/her candidature is accepted by the University, and it does not mean that the entries made by him/her in the online application are accepted as true and correct. An in-eligible candidate obtaining a Merit position does not make him/her eligible for admission.

If the information furnished by the candidate in the application is incorrect, his/her candidature is liable to be canceled and further action that deems fit will be taken. If the certificates produced by any candidate are found to be fake/false/forged at any stage of verification or admission, the University has every right to cancel the seat/admission of such candidate without any notice. In case of a discrepancy in the downloaded provisional verification form, the same shall be brought to the notice of the University immediately.

The final verification of original certificates will be conducted at the college of admission. In case of any discrepancy, the provisional allotment will be canceled, and action may be initiated as per University Regulations.

Area-wise seat matrix will be displayed on the Website for the information of the students.

Subsequent notifications with regard to the counseling will be notified on the University website only. Visit the University website regularly for subsequent notifications/instructions till the completion of the admission process.

Merit list –

The merit position of the candidates applied shall be determined based on AIAPGET-2023-24 Ranks and as per their eligibility.

There shall be a committee appointed by Dr. YSR UHS for the selection of candidates against Competent Authority seats as per the merit list.

Method of selection –

Provisional Selection shall be made by the Selection Committee constituted by the University. The Selection Committee shall provisionally select the candidates as per these regulations from among the candidates as per the merit list from the candidates who exercised web options.

Candidates have to exercise the options in response to this University notification. If a candidate, after choosing the subject, fails to pay fees or after paying the fees, fails to submit the bond, his/her selection stands canceled automatically.

Conditions of admission –

Candidates joining courses shall execute a bond on non-judicial stamp paper of value of Rs.100/- in the form specified in Annexure-I to complete the prescribed period of training or in default to pay Rs.59,000/-(Rupees Fifty Nine thousand only) Rs.50,000+Rs.9,000 including GST@18% to Dr. YSR University of Health Sciences and service candidates shall refund the stipend received upto that date to Government.

Payment of fees –

Tuition fee –

The selected candidates have to pay tuition fees and other constituent fees, special fees, and caution money deposits at the rates laid down for the purpose from time to time, subject to the conditions laid therein at the time of admission. The regulations governing the same will be informed.

University fee –

All the selected candidates shall pay the following fee through the payment Gateway by using an online payment method. (Debit Card/Credit Card/Internet Banking). The fee, once paid, shall not be refunded under any circumstances.

Registration Fee - Rs. 7000/-

Admission Fee - Rs. 1100/-

IUT/Sports Fee - Rs. 600/-

Students Welfare Fund - Rs. 300/-

Digital Library Fee - Rs. 1000/-

NSS Contribution Fee - Rs. 100/

Total - Rs.10100/-

Commencement of the course –

The course shall be commenced as per the date mentioned in the provisional allotment letter on the last page. The duration of the course shall be calculated from this date of commencement of the course and shall be uniform for all the candidates irrespective of their individual dates of admission.

Closure of admissions –

Admissions shall be closed as per the NCISM /Ministry of AYUSH, New Delhi regulations. Any vacancy as on the day of closure of admissions or that arises after the closure of admissions shall not be filled.

Period of study –

The period of training shall be of 3 years duration in the department concerned.
