TN Health invites applications for MD Homeopathy, Siddha courses

Chennai: Through a recent notification by TN Health, the Directorate of Indian Medicine and Homoeopathy, Chennai has invited applications from eligible candidates for admission to MD Homeopathy, Siddha courses this academic year.

M.D. ( Siddha ) Course – 2020-'21 Session

Applications are invited from AIAPGET 2020 ( SIDDHA ) Eligible candidates for admission to M.D ( SIDDHA ) a three years Post-Graduate Course, 2020-'21 session at Govt. Siddha Medical Colleges, one each at Chennai and Palayamkottai. Application Forms and Prospectus may be downloaded from the Health Department website: " www.tnhealth.tn.gov.in " from 19-10-2020 to 20-11-2020 up to 5.00 p.m. Last date for receipt / Submission of filled in Application Form at Selection Committee office, Indian Medicine and Homoeopathy Department, Chennai-106 is 23-11-2020 up to 5.30 p.m.

Last date for submission of filled in application form is 23-11-2020 before 5.30 pm.

At Selection Committee Office, Directorate of Indian Medicine and Homoeopathy, Arignar Anna Govt. Hospital of Indian Medicine Campus, Arumbakkam, Chennai- 600 106.

Payment of Course fee deposit: 
The candidates who are selected at the time of counseling shall remit a non refundable sum of Rs.5,000/- (Rupees Five Thousand only) by way of Demand Draft drawn in favour of the "Director of Indian Medicine and Homoeopathy, Chennai-106" on or after 25-11-2020 payable at Chennai at the time of receipt of the allotment orders. After the receipt of the joining report from the Principals of the respective colleges this amount will be transferred to the Colleges concerned to get adjusted with the Tuition Fees to be paid by the candidates. If the candidate fails to join the course after getting allotment order within the stipulated time he/she will forfeit this amount as well as seat allotted.
All Candidates who participate in the Post Graduate M.D (Siddha) Counselling will have to remit a non-refundable amount of Rs.1000/- (Rupees One Thousand only) by way of Demand Draft drawn on or after 25-11-2020, in favour of "Director of Indian Medicine and Homoeopathy, Chennai-106" payable at Chennai as processing fee for attending counselling. 

Eligibility for Admission to M.D.(Siddha) Course

1. A pass in BSMS Degree course conducted by The Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University or any other recognized Indian University with successful completion of Compulsory Rotatory Residential Internship (CRRI). Candidates who have completed CRRI or will be completing CRRI and got registered with Tamilnadu Siddha Medical council well before actual Counseling date for Admission to MD [ Siddha ] course starts are alone eligible to apply for Post Graduate Degree Course in Siddha. Further, the candidate should have appeared in AIAPGET 2020 ( SIDDHA ) and should have secured a place in the common merit list arrived at by MoA / NTA AIAPGET 2020 ( SIDDHA ) Secretariat.

2. At the time of counseling, candidate should produce in Original the II Provisional Certificate or Degree Certificate from the Affiliating University and Medical Registration Certificate issued by Tamil Nadu Siddha Medical Council, Chennai.

3.The Candidate should be a Citizen of India and should have undergone B.S.M.S. Course in the State of Tamil Nadu. Candidates of Tamil Nadu nativity who have completed B.S.M.S. Course in other States shall furnish a Certificate of Nativity in Tamil Nadu issued by a competent authority only in the specified format prescribed in the application, and should also produce the Eligibility Certificate from the T. N. Dr. M. G. R. Medical university before Counseling or before attending the Counseling.

4. Hall Ticket Roll / Register Number and Marks scored in AIAPGET – 2020 (Siddha) are to be filled in the relevant columns of the Application Form. Only Photostat Self Attested copies of the Hall Ticket and Marks Statement should be enclosed with the Application Form. Original Hall Ticket and Marks Statement must be produced only at the time of Counseling and Admission.

 Not eligible

(i) Candidates who join a Post Graduate Degree in any branch and discontinue the course on any grounds after the cutoff date fixed by CCIM are not eligible to apply for two subsequent academic years.
(ii) Candidates who have completed a Post Graduate Degree or the candidates who possess a Post Graduate Degree in one Specialty / Branch of study are not eligible to apply for admission to any other Post Graduate degree i.e., in other branches.
Annual fee payable for - M.D(Siddha)
1. The following fees including Security Deposit, Library fees etc., were fixed by the Govt. of Tamil Nadu in G.O (Rt) No. 300, Health & Family Welfare Dept. dated: 17-6-1989 and the revised fees will be announced prior to admission and will also be subject to revision from time to time.
a. Tuition Fee -- Rs.1000/-
b. Special Fee -- Rs.1585/-
(Inclusive of Security Deposit Library fee etc.)
2.Every student has to pay for sports and welfare fund every year. The fee prescribed is subject to revision from time to time.
3. The examination fee will be collected at the rate prescribed by the Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University from time to time

After the receipt of the joining report from the Principals of the Self- Financing Institutions, this amount will be transferred to the respective College to get adjusted with the Tuition Fees to be paid by the candidates. If the candidate fails to join the course after getting allotment order within the stipulated time he/she will forfeit this amount as well as seat allotted.

Further, the candidate should have appeared in AIAPGET 2020 (HOMOEOPATHY) and should have secured a place in the common merit list arrived at by MoA / NTA AIAPGET 2020 (HOMOEOPATHY) Secretariat.
2. Annual Fee Payable for M.D (Homoeopathy)
1. Annual Fee Payable for M.D. Homoeopathy ( under Management Quota ) is Rs.3,50,000/- (Rupees Three Lakhs and Fifty Thousand only) as fixed in Proceedings No. CFF / Para-Medical / ISM / 018/2019, dated: 22-08-2019 by the Committee on Fixation of fee in respect of Self-Financing Professional Colleges appointed by the Government of Tamil Nadu. This fee is an all inclusive annual fee including various fees like admission fee, Tuition fee, Special fee, Laboratory /Computer/Internet Fee, Library Fee, Sports Fee., Maintenance and Amenities Fee, Extracurricular activities fee and other recurring expenditure.
2. Stipend/ Fee structure / Bond amount / any other conditions will be as per the Institution to which the candidate is admitted into under the Management Quota seats category.
3. The examination fee will be collected at the rate prescribed by the University from time to time
