Bengaluru: The Bengaluru bench of Karnataka High Court recently set aside the results of practical examination of 41 MBBS students who had failed and directed the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS) to conduct fresh practical examination for the medicos within three weeks.
"Respondent – RGUHS is hereby directed to conduct fresh practical examination to the aforementioned petitioners in the subjects mentioned above within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order," the HC bench comprising of Justice MI Arun noted.
Such a direction was given by the bench after the University itself decided to conduct fresh examinations and the students also agreed.
The HC bench was considering a bunch of petitions filed by the medical students belonging to RGUHS affiliated institutes. They submitted before the court that they have all succeeded in the theory examination in the final year theory examination of MBBS Course. However, they have failed in practical examination.
