DME Gujarat Invites Applications for NEET MDS Admissions 2024, Know schedule, eligibility criteria, registration process here
Gujarat- The Director of Medical Education and Research (DMER), Gujarat is inviting applications from eligible candidates for admission to the Government Seats, Management Seats and NRI Seats of MDS Courses in Government and Self-financed Dental Colleges for the academic year 2024-25.
Candidates, who are qualified in NEET-MDS 2024 are eligible as per the council and admission rules of Gujarat State and can apply for admission to Government Seats, Management Seats and NRI Seats of MDS Courses in Government and Self-financed Dental Colleges for the academic year 2024-25. On this, DMER Gujarat has released notices regarding the Procedure for online registration, eligibility, Instructions for NRI candidates, etc
The registration for admission to Government Seats, Management Seats and NRI Seats of MDS Courses in Government and Self-financed Dental Colleges for the academic year 2024-25 has already been started from today i.e. 10th July 2024 from 10:00 AM and will be valid till 15th July 2024 till 11:00 AM. While registering, candidates have to pay Rs. 3000/- (non-refundable) + Rs. 25,000 (refundable security deposit) = Total Rs. 28,000/-.
Meanwhile, after online application, the NRI candidates have to submit a Demand draft of Rs. 25,000/- (non-refundable) in favour of “ACPUGMEC”, payable at Gandhinagar as a processing fee at the office of ACPUGMEC & ACPPGMEC, GMERS Medical College, Gandhinagar Only. The document verification and submission will be done only at the Office of ACPPGMEC, GMERS Medical College, and Gandhinagar.
Along with this, the candidate has to make a prior appointment for the Document Verification and Submission of photocopies of Documents at the Gujarat DMER Help Center. The candidate, himself/herself, can select the Date, time and Help Center of his/her choice for Document Verification at the time of printing the Registration Slip.
PROCEDURE FOR ONLINE REGISTRATION
1 PIN can be purchased online from the website by paying Rs. 3000/- (Non-refundable) + Rs.25,000/- (Refundable Security Deposit)= Total Rs.28,000/-.
2 The candidates, who have qualified the NEET-MDS of the current academic year are eligible as per admission rules of Gujarat State and have to visit the website from anywhere on the internet for Online Form Registration.
3 For online form registration candidate has to click “Medical, Dental, CPS diploma” under “Post Graduate Admission” a new window will appear on the computer screen.
4 Click the “Log-in for Post-Graduate Medical Admission” button. A new window will appear on the computer screen.
5 Click on “Purchase PIN” to purchase an online PIN. A new window will appear on the computer screen. Read the instructions carefully before purchasing PIN online from the website. PIN can be purchased by Paying Rs. 3000/- (Non-Refundable) + Rs.25,000/- (Refundable Security Deposit) = Total Rs.28,000/-.
6 Click on “Candidate Registration/Login” to start the registration process. A new window will appear on the computer screen.
7 To register as a new candidate, click the “Click here for New Registration” button. By doing so, a New Registration window will be displayed on the computer screen.
8 Enter ‘Serial number of PIN’, ’14-digit PIN’, ‘E-mail Address’, ‘Mobile No.’, ‘Roll No. (NEET Roll No.’) and ‘Captcha Image’ in the appropriate box. Verify the details entered and if every detail entered is correct, click the “SUBMIT” button. Then, the “Online Registration Form” window will be displayed on the computer screen.
9 The candidate has to fill up personal details in the format as displayed in the “Online Registration Form”. Candidate’s ‘Serial number of PIN’ will appear as LOGIN/USER ID. After that, the candidate has to enter a password by using at least 6 (six) and a maximum of 12 alphanumeric characters. Re-enter the same password in the space marked as “Confirm Password”. For future login, the candidate has to use the same Login ID, PIN and password only. So, the candidate has to remember the password for subsequent login.
10 Please do not share your password and purchased PIN with anyone. You are advised to store your ID, Password and PIN in multiple places (other than your mobile). If you have lost your PIN, you must visit CCR, GMERS Medical College, Gandhinagar to regenerate your PIN by paying Rs. 500. Save the PIN till the admission process & refund process gets over.
11 Verify the entries made and if every detail is found correct then choose the “I Agree” option at the bottom of the form if the declaration is acceptable. If the candidate selects the “I Agree” option, he will be allowed to click the “SUBMIT” button. In case any mandatory information is not filled then registration will not be completed. In such cases the incomplete fields will be highlighted by ‘*’ with red colour or a message will be displayed. Provide the incomplete information and click the “SUBMIT” button. OTP will be generated and will be sent to your Registered Mobile.
12 Click on “Save Changes”. A new window will appear on the computer screen. “Save Changes”.
13 By doing so, “Registration Details” will be generated. If any corrections are required, then click the “EDIT/CONFIRM APPLICATION” button. The “Online Registration Form” will appear with already filled details which can be edited by the candidate if needed. After editing, the candidate has to verify the details entered and if every detail is found correct, then go for “Upload Documents” and after uploading the required documents, click the “Confirm Registration Details” button. No changes to registration details will be allowed after this. Now, if any change is required will be done at the help center before verification. Candidates are instructed to upload all the required documents before confirming the application.
14 Now After registration candidate has to upload documents as per registration details according to category. Upload documents (readable photos) which are PDF, JPG, JPEG or PNG format only by clicking on “Choose file” > select the photo you what to upload > click on “Upload” button > Your document will be uploaded. You can delete the photo if you want to change the photo>click on the “Delete” button and again do the same procedure to upload the correct photo. Choose and upload all documents one by one as given in “Sr. No.”
15 Candidates have to make a prior appointment for the Document Verification and Submission of photocopies of Documents at the Help Center. Candidate can select the Date and Help Center for Document Verification at the time of printing the Registration Slip. The candidate then has to submit “Registration Details” and all relevant original documents & self-attested photocopies at the appointed Help Center, compulsorily.
16 The candidate will be able to take print of the Registration Details after clicking “Re-Print Registration Slip”. OR The candidate will be able to take print of the Registration Details after clicking “Registration Details” under the “REGISTRATION DETAILS” button. The candidate can click the “Print Your Details” button to print the “Registration Details” page.
17 For the confirmation of registration at the Help Center, all candidates have to take print of the “Registration Details” (two copies). Self-attested copies of all relevant documents (as per the list mentioned at the bottom of the Registration Details) should be attached to the Registration Details. Both candidates as well as the parent/guardian of the candidate have to compulsorily sign the Registration Details at the space provided. In the case of candidates of SC/SEBC/ST/EWS/PwD category, the candidates have to submit 02 copies of the caste certificate, non-creamy layer certificate and school leaving certificate/transfer certificate of each.
18 The officer at the Help Center will verify the Registration Details and self-attested photocopies of relevant documents with originals. The officer will retain the Registration Slip and set of self-attested documents and issue the Registration Slip with signature and seal to the Candidate. All candidates must verify all Original Documents at the Help Center and obtain a Registration Slip, without which the candidate shall not be eligible for further admission process.
19 All candidates, who are applying for PwD quota, have to appear for examination for disability to the Medical Board of ACPUGMEC. Only Disability Certificate issued from a Medical Board of ACPUGMEC will be considered. No other PwD certificate, issued by any other Authorities/Hospital will be entertained.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR THE ADMISSION IN MDS COURSE FOR ACADEMIC YEAR 2024-25
1 The candidate must have completed the recognized BDS course from a university established under any law of the Government of Gujarat and situated in the State of Gujarat.
2 The candidate must have completed the recognized BDS course from university established under any law of Government of India and situated in any State / Union territory of India / Out of India subject to fulfilling the Eligibility criteria of DCI, New Delhi/ Govt. of India and must have passed 12th qualifying examination with “B- group” or “AB-group” either from (a) Gujarat Board OR (b) from Central Board of Secondary Education/ The Council of Indian School Certificate Examination board/ The International School Board (International Baccalaureate and Cambridge)/ The National Institute of Open Schooling provided that school is located in the state of Gujarat and must be born in Gujarat state/ be the Domicile of Gujarat state.
3 The candidate must have completed a compulsory rotating internship on or before Dt. 31 March 2024.
LIST OF DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR ADMISSION PROCESS OF ACPPGMEC
1 All years BDS attempt-wise Marksheets.
2 Copy of NEET-PG(MDS) Marksheet of current academic year.
3 Internship completion certificate on or before Dt. 31 March 2024.
4 Provisional Registration of State Dental Council / Dental Council of India (In case of fresh candidates only who have just completed their internship)/Permanent Registration of Dental Council / Dental Council of India (In case of old pass-out candidates).
5 Documents showing Date & Place of Birth & Indian Citizenship (School leaving Certificate/ Transfer Certificate--compulsory for all candidates & Birth Certificate/ Passport-- if birthplace not mentioned in School leaving certificate/Transfer Certificate).
6 Caste certificate issued by Competent Authorities of Gujarat State only.
7 Non-creamy layer certificate issued by Competent Authorities of Gujarat State only dated on or after Dt.01 April 2022.
8 EWS certificates issued by Competent Authorities of Gujarat State only dated on or after Dt.01 April 2022.
9 Disability Certificate issued by Competent Authority.
10 Copy of Passport - if Citizenship is Dual/ Foreign.
11 12th Marksheet (For candidates who have done BDS outside Gujarat).
12 For candidates who have done BDS outside Gujarat (only if their birthplace is outside Gujarat).
INSTRUCTIONS FOR NRI CATEGORY STUDENTS
1 PIN can be purchased online from the website by paying Rs. 3000/- (non-refundable) + Rs.25,000/- (Refundable Security Deposit) = total Rs.28,000/-.
2 Candidates can do online registration by visiting the website of the admission committee.
3 The candidate applying for NRI Quota, confirms registration by document verification and submission only at the Office of ACPUGMEC/ACPPGMEC, GMERS Medical College, Gandhinagar.
4 Candidate has to make a prior appointment for the Document Verification and Submission of Xerox copies of Documents at the Help Center. Candidate, himself/herself, can select the Date for Document Verification at the time of printing the Registration Slip.
5 After online application, they have to submit a Demand draft of Rs. 25,000/- in favor of “ACPUGMEC” payable at Gandhinagar as a processing fee at the Office of ACPUGMEC/ACPPGMEC, GMERS Medical College, Gandhinagar Only.
6 No application for admission will be considered unless it is accompanied by notarized copies of the certificates and all necessary documents.
7 Any change in any of the documents or the examination marks after submission of the application should be promptly reported to the Office of ACPUGMEC/ACPPGMEC, GMERS Medical College, Gandhinagar with an attested copy of the same. The candidate will be responsible for consequences if he/she fails to do so.
8 Admission to NRI quota seats at Medical Colleges will be finalized based on the merit list as prescribed under the rules.
9 Students joining the admitted College will be awarded a degree from the concerned University to which the college is affiliated.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
1 A candidate should be a Non-Resident Indian.
2 His/her parents or in the absence of his/her parents, his/her legal guardian shall be NonResident India
3 The candidate must complete the Internship on or before 31st March 2024.
4 The candidate should have appeared in the NEET-PG examination of the current admission year and have been declared “Qualified”
MERIT LIST
Admission to the non-resident Indian seats will be given by ACPPGMEC based on inter-se merit based on-
All India Overall Rank at the NEET-PG of the current admission year from among the candidates who have applied for admission against the Non-Resident Indian seats.

The application will be considered only if it is accompanied by copies of the following certificates, duly notarized-
a Demand draft of Rs. 25,000/- payable to ACPUGMEC, Gandhinagar.
b Print-out of Online Application.
c All-year attempt-wise MBBS / BDS mark sheets.
d Marksheet of NEET-PG of the current admission year.
e School Leaving Certificate.
f Internship completion certificate on or before Dt.31/03/2024.
g Provisional Registration of Gujarat Medical / Dental Council OR Medical / Dental Council of India.
h Caste Certificate in Case of SC/ ST/ SEBC Candidate.
i Non-Creamy layer Certificate for SEBC Candidate, issued on or after Dt.01-04-2022.
j EWS Certificate for EWS Candidate, issued on or after Dt.01-04-2022.
k Color Photocopies of the following all documents must be notarized-
i Passport (Notarized colour photocopies of all pages including blank Pages) of NRI/NRI Parents ii Visa / Resident permit / OCI / PIO card as applicable.
iii Address proof (Indian and foreign).
iv Undertaking in regard to the fees from NRI Students/Parents.
v Document/s for Proof of Origin (Citizenship Card/P.R. Card etc.).
