NEET MDS 2026 registrations to begin soon, exam on May 2

New Delhi: The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) will soon begin registration for the National Eligibility and Entrance Test for Master of Dental Surgery (NEET MDS) for the academic year 2026-27.

The registration process will be conducted on the official NBEMS website. 

Meanwhile, the exam will be held on May 2, 2026. Candidates are advised to have their documents ready to apply online.

The exam will be conducted online in computer-based mode and will last for three hours, expected to be held from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. NEET MDS is the sole entrance examination for dental postgraduate courses offered by dental colleges in India. 

STEPS TO REGISTER FOR NEET MDS 2026

STEP 1- Visit the official website of NBE.

STEP 2- Under the ‘Examination’ tab, click on the ‘NEET-MDS’ tab.

STEP 3- Click on ‘New Registration’ under the 2026 section.

STEP 4- Enter personal and educational details and click on ‘Submit’.

STEP 5- The board will send a User ID and password to the registered email ID and mobile number.

STEP 6- Use the details to log in and fill out the application form in the candidate dashboard.

STEP 7- Upload scanned copies of required documents.

STEP 8- Pay the online application fee.

STEP 9- Download the confirmation slip for future reference.

GENERAL ELIGIBILITY

Candidates need to fulfil the eligibility in terms of NEET MDS age limit and educational qualification to apply for the exam.

1 Candidates must have a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from a University/ Institute recognised by the DCI.

2 They must be registered with the DCI or the State Dental Council.

3 They must have completed 12 months of compulsory rotatory internship on or before the date specified by NBE.

4 Candidates need to complete the internship before the cutoff date.
