NEET MDS 2026 tentatively on May 2

New Delhi: The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) will likely conduct the National Eligibility and Entrance Test for Master of Dental Surgery, NEET MDS exam for the academic year 2026 on May 2, 2026.
The exam will be conducted online in a computer-based mode and will be three hours long, expected to be held from 2 PM to 5 PM.
The NBE may release the NEET MDS notification anytime soon. The NEET MDS 2026 notification, along with the information bulletin, will be displayed on the official NBEMS website. The notifications will contain information about the NEET MDS exam date, eligibility criteria, application process, exam pattern, subjects, and syllabus.
Therefore, candidates should carefully read the bulletin before applying online for the exam. The NEET MDS application form for 2026 will be released along with the notification. NEET MDS is the sole entrance examination for dental postgraduate courses offered by dental colleges in India. The exam will consist of two time-bound sections of 75 minutes and 105 minutes.
STEPS TO REGISTER FOR NEET MDS EXAM 2026
STEP 1- Go to official website of NBE.
STEP 2- Click on NEET-MDS.
STEP 3- Enter the details such as Name of Candidate, Date of Birth, Gender, Nationality, Mobile Number, Email Address and Captcha.
STEP 4- Check the details for errors.
STEP 5- Click on Submit.
STEP 6- User ID and password will be sent to the registered email ID and mobile number.
General ELIGIBILITY
Candidates need to fulfil the eligibility in terms of NEET MDS age limit and educational qualification to apply for the exam.
1 Candidates must have a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from a University/ Institute recognised by the DCI.
2 They must be registered with the DCI or the State Dental Council.
3 They must have completed 12 months of compulsory rotatory internship on or before the date specified by NBE.
4 Candidates need to complete the internship before the cutoff date.
