Dr YSR University of Health Sciences Begins Choice Filling Process For Phase 1 MDS Admissions Under Competent Authority Quota

Andhra Pradesh: The choice-filling process phase-1 counseling for both service and non-service candidates for admissions into the competent authority quota seats of Post-Graduate Dental Degree/Diploma Courses available in the government and private non-minority dental colleges for the academic year 2023-24 has begun at Dr. YSR University of Health Sciences. The seat matrix has also been released.

The candidates can carry out the choice-filling process up to 10.00 PM on 24.08.2023 at https://mdscq.ysruhs.com/.

The following seats are available –

1. Seats available (after contributing 50% of seats to All India Quota) in Government Dental College, Vijayawada, and Government Dental College, Kadapa, in the State of Andhra Pradesh, affiliated to Dr. YSR UHS.

2. Category- A Convenor Quota seats (50% of Intake) in Private Un-aided Non-Minority Dental Colleges in the State of Andhra Pradesh, affiliated to Dr. YSR UHS.

The following candidates are eligible –

a) Those candidates who have been allotted a seat and reported/have not been allotted any seat in this Phase-I counseling.

b) Those candidates who have been allotted a seat in this Phase-I but have not reported/not joined/ exited from allotted seats at the allotted colleges. However, if a candidate has not joined/reported/exited in the allotted seat of Phase-I, then that particular seat shall not be available for that candidate to exercise web options in Phase-II counseling.

Candidates are advised to go through the Prospectus (placed on the University website on 21-07- 2023) and the Government Orders on Rules of PG admissions available before exercising web options. Candidates must go through the details of the “MRC” concept.

Candidates opting for Dental Degree/Diploma courses are informed that there is no limit of choices (number) for exercising web options. Candidates can exercise any number of options for any number of subjects and colleges if the candidate is interested in joining as per eligibility.

Candidates must be careful while exercising options on the web and take the printout of the saved options. Candidates are advised to exercise options in Courses and colleges in which they are really interested. If they are not interested in joining any subject or college, then they should not exercise options for the same.

One Time Password will be sent to the registered mobile number at the time of saving the choices. The priority of selected options can be changed. Choices, once submitted, cannot be edited. The choices saved but not submitted until the cutoff date and time will be auto-submitted.

The selected candidates shall produce all the Original certificates, pay the Tuition fee, necessary bonds, etc., and complete the process of admission. If the candidate does not fulfill the above criteria to complete the admission process on the specified dates of admission, their admission will be canceled automatically.

The verification of original certificates will be conducted at the time of admission in the respective College, and in case of any discrepancy, the Provisional allotment will be canceled, and action will be initiated.

Candidates who have resigned from the Phase-I reported seat before the due date as per the schedule will be considered as not reported/not joined, and such vacated seats will be filled in Phase-II counseling as per the rules. After the due date, all Phase-I reported candidates would be considered as a part of Phase-II, and the same rules will apply to them as applicable for Phase-II of counseling, and they cannot resign the seat.

Upgradation of candidates after Phase-II is not allowed in view of Supreme Court Orders, dt.22-07-2022 in Contempt Petition (Civil) No.289 of 2022 in W.P. (CIVIL) No.223 of 2022.

3 As per G.O.Ms.No.67, dt.21-04-2017, in the final phase of final counseling: A candidate who exercised web options and joined in an allotted seat shall not be permitted to withdraw from the seat. In case any candidate withdraws from the allotted seat, the candidate shall be debarred for a period of three years for admission into Post Graduate Dental Degree/Diploma courses at the colleges in the State of Andhra Pradesh besides payment of Rs. 354000 (including 18% GST).

The University fee and other fees, once paid, shall not be refunded under any circumstances.

Mop-Up Round –

a) Candidates who have exercised/participated in web options in Phase-I & Phase-II but not allotted any seat are eligible for Mop Up round

b) Candidates who have not exercised/participated in web options in any phase are not eligible for participating in Mop Up round

c) Candidates holding any MDS seat in any Dental College are not eligible to participate in Mop-Up Round

University fee –

Candidates to whom the allotment message is given have to pay Rs.23600 for downloading the allotment letter if the seat is allotted. The payment will be paid through the payment Gateway https://mdscq.ysruhs.com/ by using the Online payment method. (Debit Card/Credit Card/Internet Banking).

Tuition fee -

The following is the Tuition fee structure for the academic year 2023-24 to be payable for the Competent Authority Quota seats in Private Un-aided Dental Colleges as per G.O.Ms.No.123, HM & FW (C1) Department, dated 10-08-2023 of Government of Andhra Pradesh subject to the outcome of the W.P.Nos.32975, 33162 & 35090 of 2022.
