FMGE December 2025 exam date announced! Registrations from November 14
New Delhi: The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) is inviting online applications for the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE) December 2025.
Therefore, through an official notice, NBEMS has announced the commencement of the application process for the FMGE December 2025 session.
According to the notice, the exam will be conducted on January 17, 2026, on a computer-based platform across multiple centres in India. Meanwhile, the Information Bulletin containing the eligibility criteria, examination scheme, fee structure, and other essential details will be available on the NBEMS website from tomorrow, i.e. November 14, 2025, at 3:00 PM.

Candidates can register and submit their applications through the official NBEMS website by clicking on the link provided in the notice.
The FMGE serves as a mandatory screening test for Indian citizens and Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) who have obtained their primary medical qualifications from foreign institutions and seek to practice medicine in India.
The FMGE is a qualifying examination that assesses the medical knowledge and competence of foreign-educated doctors aspiring for provisional or permanent registration with the National Medical Commission (NMC) or State Medical Councils in India.
STEPS TO SUBMIT THE ONLINE APPLICATION FORM
STEP 1- Fill the user registration form to generate the User ID/Application ID and Password.
STEP 2- User ID and Password will be sent through SMS and Email.
STEP 3- Complete the application form and upload your Photograph, scanned signature, Thumb impression, & Prescribed documents.
STEP 4- Choose your Test City and pay the Examination Fee.
STEP 5- Agree to the declaration and submit the Application.
STEP 6- Take a printout of the filled Application form with Transaction ID printed on it and payment status mentioned as “S” (Successful) for records.
