HC issues notice in plea seeking CBI probe in Multi-crore recruitment scam at Karnataka Medical College

Bengaluru: While considering a petition seeking CBI probe in an alleged multi-crore recruitment scam at the state-run Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical College and Research Institute in Shivajinagar, Bengaluru, the Karnataka High Court had issued notices to the State Government and other concerned authorities and sought to know their responses in this regard.
The plea filed by Dr. Meenakshi Parthasarathy has claimed that recruitment in around 33 posts of assistant professors at the Institute was done in a fradulant manner and alleged that each of those seats had been sold for Rs 50 lakh to Rs 70 lakh, adds TOI.
