KEA invites applications for NEET PG, NEET MDS admissions 2023, know complete details here
Karnataka: Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has begun the registration process for NEET PG and NEET MDS admissions this year.

Candidates must retain the following documents with them as reference for future correspondence -
1. At least two printouts of the finally submitted Online Application
2. Fees paid Receipt
3. 2 Passport size identical photographs which are uploaded to the Online Application
Steps in online submission of application form -
1. Candidate creates his/her profile by entering the necessary details along with NEET-PG 2023 / NEET MDS 2023 Roll Number.
2. Candidate information such as name, father’s name, mother’s name, date of birth, NBE Score, and Mobile number is fetched from NBE data.
3. OTP will be sent to the candidate’s same mobile number registered with NBE. Candidate should not share the OTP with others.
4. Candidates have to enter, Eligibility Clause Code, Reservation Category, Educational Qualification, contact details, etc. has to be entered.
5. Those who are eligible under In-service enter the same.
6. Uploading photograph, left thumb impression & signature
7. Registration fee has to be paid by the candidate by following the procedure mentioned therein.
8. Print & submit the application form.

The details related to each are enclosed in the notice below.
Eligibility –
1. Candidate should have scored more than or equal to the prescribed minimum score in NEET- PG 2023 / NEET MDS 2023.
2. Candidate should have completed his/her MBBS/BDS courses from a recognized institute by MCI/DCI respectively.
3. He/ She has completed or is completing a ‘Compulsory Rotating Internship’ on or before 11-08-2023.
4. For In-service candidates the age limit is 48 years as on 31st March 2023.
5. SC / ST / OBC / Linguistic minority eligibility criteria are applicable as per State Government policy only. However, if any OBC candidate of Karnataka has not claimed OBC in NEET-PG 2023 / NEET MDS 2023 can claim the respective category in NEET-PG 2023 / NEET MDS 2023 in KEA.
Non-eligibility –
Any candidate, who is already holding a PG Degree in any clinical specialty, shall not be eligible for admission to any Post Graduate Degree or Diploma Course.
Any candidate who has obtained his / her undergraduate medical/dental qualifications from medical/dental Colleges outside India should have qualified in the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE - Screening Test) which is conducted by the National Board of Examinations / DCI (Document mandatorily to be produced). Further, they should have been registered with MCI / DCI and should have completed their internship or are likely to complete their internship on or before 11-08-2023.
Eligibility criteria for foreign nationals -
Foreign national’s qualifications should be duly registered with the appropriate registering authority in his / her own country where from he/she has obtained his / her basic medical graduate qualification, and is duly recognized by the corresponding Medical Council or concerned authority. Further, one should obtain a temporary registration certificate for the duration of the PG course from MCI / DCI.
Those who register with KEA online will be eligible for verification of documents. The results/ranks published by the National Board of Examination (NBE), New Delhi will be taken into consideration for the preparation of the list.
Classification of seats -
These seats are classified into four categories namely -
1. G - Government Seats
2. P - Private Seats
3. N - NRI Seats
4. Q - Others Seats
The allotment of seats will be conducted in multiple numbers of iterations –
1. First Round
2. Second Round
3. Mop-up Round

The documents to be produced –
1. KEA ‘PGET-2023’ Registration form duly filled (print out)
2. Photo identity and address proof document (PAN Card / Driving License / Voter ID / Passport / Aadhaar Card / Ration Card)
3. ‘NEET-PG 2023 / NEET MDS 2023’ Admit Card & score card issued by NBE for Medical & Dental courses
4. SSLC or 10th Standard/equivalent marks card (For date of birth)
5. 2nd PUC or 12th standard Marks Card
6. MBBS / BDS marks card issued by Universities of all phases/years.
7. Qualifying degree certificate
8. Provisional Degree Certificate - only for those who have passed MBBS / BDS during 2023.
9. Certificate of internship completion in Annexure 5 for candidates who have already completed the internship. (Provisional internship completion certificate will be accepted for Candidates completing their internship by 31st July 2023, only for 1st round of counseling in Annexure 6).
10. Certificate from the head of the institute certifying that the Medical / Dental College from which the candidate has passed the MBBS/BDS examination is recognized by MCI/DCI
11. State / Central Medical / Dental Council Registration Certificate. [Provisional registration certificate will be accepted only for the candidates who have passed MBBS / BDS during 2023. Permanent State / Central Medical / Dental Council Registration Certificate to be compulsorily submitted at the time of admission process. (Candidates who have passed prior to 2023, should compulsorily possess the Original Permanent Registration certificate and upload the same)]
12. Eligibility Certificate (Other University)
13. All the candidates are also required to produce UNDERTAKING (Annexure 7), taken on a white paper. Further, the same undertaking obtained on Rs. 20 e-Stamps Paper brought out in the name of the candidate to the Karnataka Examinations Authority as shown in (Annexure 7), only on submission of this document, the candidate’s admission process is stated to be completed. He/she becomes eligible for admission /allotment of the User ID and Secret Key.
14. Hyderabad-Karnataka Region certificate - If applicable, Certificates issued by the competent authority for claiming reservation under 371(j) (Hyderabad-Karnataka Region)
15. Eligibility Certificate by RGUHS for the candidates who graduated from other universities other than RGUHS (To be submitted at the respective admitted college).
16. Migration certificate from the concerned University if MBBS / BDS is done from other than RGUHS, Bangalore. (To be submitted at the respective admitted college).
17. Compulsory rural service bond on Rs.100/- stamp paper (Annexure 1) and undertaking for three years of service on Rs 200/- stamp paper duly notarized (Annexure 2). (to be submitted at the time of admission process)
Indian citizens or Overseas Citizens of India who have obtained their Primary Medical Qualifications from Medical Colleges outside India should have qualified in the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (Screening Test) which is conducted by the National Board of Examinations - Document mandatorily to be uploaded. Further, they should have been registered with MCI / SMC and should have completed their internship or are likely to complete their internship on or before 31st March 2023.
For Foreign Nationals - Foreign national’s qualification registration certificate by the corresponding Medical Council or concerned authority in his / her own country from where he/she has obtained his / her basic medical graduate qualification. Obtain a Temporary registration certificate from MCI/DCI within one month of securing admission.
Instructions for In-service candidates -
1. “In-Service Candidates” means persons belonging to the Health & Family Welfare Services, Employees State Insurance (Medical) Services, Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike, Boards and Corporations, and institutions which are granted autonomous status including the persons deputed from such services to any other foreign services. As per G.O. No. HFW. 334. RGU.2012 dated 22.12.2012 ESIC Doctors working in Karnataka are considered as In-service Doctors and their seat allocation will be done under the quota of Boards & Corporations.
2. For In-service candidates the age limit is 48 years as on 31st March 2023.
3. In-service candidates should obtain NOC (No Objection Certificate) from the Head of the concerned department and enter the relevant details in the registration form, further the same NOC should be produced at the time of verifying the documents.
4. The in-service doctors have to fulfill the following conditions stipulated under Rule 10 of Karnataka conduct of Entrance Test for admission to Post-Graduate Medical Degree and Diploma Courses Rules 2006 as amended from time to time.
5. The Head of the Departments should forward the applications of only such candidates who fulfill all the criteria mentioned in the application form.
6. Advance copies from candidates will not be entertained.
No in-service candidate shall be eligible for admission under these rules -
1. Unless he/she has put in not less than three years of regular employment in service including successful completion of the probation period as on 31st March 2023.
2. Unless he/she has satisfactorily completed the prescribed period of probation.
3. Post Graduate Degree / Diploma in any subject other than the specialty in which he/ she is working.
4. Holding a Post Graduate Degree in any Specialty shall not be eligible for admission to any other Post Graduate Degree or Diploma other than the same specialty.
5. Studying in any Post-Graduate Degree or Diploma course shall not be eligible for admission under these rules.
6. If they have any Departmental inquiries against them.
7. Incomplete and incorrect applications are liable for rejection. No changes will be entertained after the submission of the application.
8. In addition to the above, In-service doctors should furnish the information sought in the application form, and the heads of the departments should verify and forward the applications to the DME who will in turn forward them to The Executive Director, Karnataka Examinations Authority, Malleshwaram, 18th Cross, Bangalore (for verification of documents). The Concerned Heads of Department i.e., Directors / Heads of Autonomous Institutions in respect of Medical Education, Health and Family Welfare Services, BBMP, ESI (S), ESIC, and Heads of other Boards and Corporations should verify and approve the details entered by the candidates online through the KEA portal for NEET-PG 2023 / NEET MDS 2023 with the credentials provided.
9. The seats within the in-service quota shall be reserved as per the MCI / DCI / Government issued from time to time. Any seats reserved for In-Service Candidates which shall remain unfilled for want of eligible candidates or otherwise shall be added to the non-in-service quota seats as per Government / DME instructions.
