MCC tells Kerala Medical College to hold offline counselling for vacant NEET SS seat, releases schedule, list of eligible candidates
New Delhi : Through a recent notice, the MCC has informed about the conduction of offline counselling for the DM (Neurology) seat of Government Medical College, Kottayam. Besides, the MCC has released the schedule for the counselling and the list of candidates eligible to appear for the same.
Medical Dialogues had earlier reported that the Kerala HC had directed the MCC to conduct fresh mop up round for the vacant DM Neurology seat at the medical college. The issue emerged after a candidate who got admission to DM (Neurology) in Government Medical College, Kottayam resigned on 16.05.2022 and joined AIIMS, New Delhi. The said seat was not included in the mop up round.
"All the eligible candidates for Super-speciality Course in DM (Neurology) subject are hereby informed that, as per the directions vide an order dated 25.05.2022 of Hon'ble High Court of Kerala in W.P. no. 16404 of 2022 (Dr. Parvathy S. vs. DGHS & ors.) has directed DGHS & MCC, DGHS to conduct counselling for a seat of DM (Neurology) in Government Medical College,Kottayam within a week," the MCC said in its notice.
