147 PG medical seats cancelled after round 1 counselling in Gujarat
Gujarat: The Admission Committee for Professional Post Graduate Medical Educational Courses (ACPPGMEC), Government of Gujarat, has published the list of cancelled seats after the first round of counselling for MD, MS, and Diploma courses for the academic year 2025.
The list has been released on the official website of the Director of Medical Education (DME), Gujarat.
According to the list, a total of 147 postgraduate medical seats allotted during Round 1 have been cancelled across government, institutional, management, NRI, and in-service quotas in medical colleges across Gujarat. The list includes important details such as User ID, Roll No, Candidate Name, All India Rank, Gen.Merit, etc.
The cancelled seats span a wide range of clinical, para-clinical, and pre-clinical disciplines. Several seats under reserved categories such as SC, ST, SEBC, and EWS have also been cancelled, indicating non-joining or withdrawal by candidates after initial allotment.
The cancelled seats are expected to be re-offered in subsequent counselling rounds, giving fresh opportunities to eligible candidates in the upcoming rounds. Therefore, aspirants must closely monitor ACPPGMEC notifications and update their choices accordingly during further counselling phases.

Meanwhile, DME Gujarat is going to end the second round of online choice filling for admission to MD, MS, and Diploma courses for the academic year 2025-26.
The online choice filling process applies to all eligible candidates included in the ACPPGMEC merit list, seeking admission to Government, Management, and NRI quota seats in Government and Self-Financed Medical Colleges across the state. According to the schedule, the 2nd Round Choice Filling (Online) process will end on 22 December 2025.
