AFMC To Conduct NEET PG Mop-Up Round For Priority V Candidates tomorrow, details
Pune: Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS) has announced the conduction of a mop-up round of NEET PG counselling 2023 for admission in PG (MD/MS) courses for Priority V candidates.
The mop-up round for Priority V (Civilian) candidates is scheduled to be held on 17 Oct 2023 at AFMC, Pune. The candidates need to report at 07:30 AM on an empty stomach for medical examination. Candidates reporting after 09:00 AM will not be allowed to participate in the AFMS counseling at Dhanvantari Hall, AFMC, Pune.
The following Priority V candidates are eligible to participate in the mop-up round –
1. Candidates below 30 years of age as of 31 Dec 2023 (i.e., DOB on or after 01 Jan 1994) as mentioned in para 18(a) of the Information Bulletin for PG admission 2023.
2. Candidates registered on the MCC website and opted for AFMS.
3. Candidates not holding seats in any Medical Institutions.
PG (MD/MS) seats will be offered on 18 Oct 2023 only to those candidates who are found Medically Fit.

16 seats are available for the mop-up round.

Priority V are the civilian candidates willing to serve in the Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS) subject to their fulfilling the eligibility criteria. Civilian candidates will have to submit a bond agreement to pay an amount as sanctioned by the Govt. of India at the time of allotment of the PG seat, in case they are unwilling to join AFMS when offered commission. They also have to be medically fit as per the standards required for commission in the AFMS at the time of admission. Officers of the AFMS who have resigned their commission/ dismissed/ removed from service/ not completed their initial contractual service/been removed from PG course on disciplinary grounds while in service as SSC officers are not eligible to be considered even as Priority-V candidates, though they may fulfill the age criteria.
