BAMS Admissions: CENTAC Invites Fresh Registrations for Stray-2 Round to fill vacant seats

Puducherry- The Centralised Admission Committee (CENTAC) has released a notice regarding the stray 2-round registration for National Eligibility and Entrance-Undergraduate (NEET UG) based BAMS Course for Vacancies under Government/ Management Quota.

As per the notice, the last date for admission to AYUSH courses has now been extended to November 18, 2024. Meanwhile, Stray-2 round registration for 1st year BAMS (Ayurveda) course at Rajiv Gandhi Government Ayurveda Mahavidyalaya, Mahe, submission of willingness, the link for payment of full tuition fees prescribed for BAMS and filling of course preferences under Government (GQ) / Management (MQ) will be enabled from November 12, 2024, till tomorrow i.e. November 14, 2024 at 5.00 PM.

At the same time, there are a total of 10 vacancies in the government and self-supporting quota, out of which 3 vacancies are available in the government quota and 7 in the self-supporting quota.

FRESH REGISTRATION FOR BAMS UNFILLED SEATS

Fresh Applications are also invited from NEET (UG) qualified candidates for admission to the BAMS for Government Quota & Management Quota in Rajiv Gandhi Government Ayurveda College, Mahe in the UT of Puducherry for the vacancies after Stray Round. Interested candidates can apply online on or before 14 November 2024, 5.00 p.m. Fresh candidates will be considered for allotment after exhausting the existing merit list.

If in case enough candidates are not available for filing all vacant Government Quota Seats, then Unfilled seats in BAMS Government Quota will be converted to BAMS Self-Supporting seats in this round with the Tuition fees of Rs. 2,00,000 /-.

However, candidates who have already applied for Government Quota may now opt for Management Quota but will be considered for allotment only after exhausting the existing merit list.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR PAYMENT OF REGISTRATION FEES

1 Candidates opting for BAMS need to pay the Registration Fee.

2 Only those Candidates who pay the Registration Fee (including SC/ST candidates) will be considered for Stray-2 Round.

3 For those candidates who paid the Registration Fee and were not allotted a seat in Round 3 / Stray Round need to pay the balance of the Registration Fee, as applicable, for Stray-2 Round and submit course preferences.

PAYMENT OF FULL TUITION FEE / REGISTRATION

To participate in the Stray-2 Round counselling, the candidates are required to pay the Tuition Fee fixed as below-

The candidates are requested to transfer the registration fee to the CENTAC account through Net Banking or by generating NEFT / RTGS (preferably RTGS) challan using the payment link in their dashboard login credentials and proceed for payment. Read the help Instructions carefully before proceeding with the payment.

SUBMISSION OF WILLINGNESS, PAYMENT, DECLARATION AND COURSE PREFERENCES

The candidates may participate after submitting willingness, payment of Full Tuition Fees/ Registration Fee as applicable and filling of Course Preferences before 14 November 2024, 5.00 p.m. However, if the Course Preferences list is empty, the candidate will not be considered for allotment. Further, the candidate is requested to submit a Declaration of the UG-NEET Brochure, failing which the candidate will not be considered for allotment.

REFUND/FORFEITURE OF FEES FOR STRAY-2 ROUND

1 In case the candidate is not allotted any seat during the Stray-2 round, the Full Tuition Fee / Registration fee paid as applicable, will be refunded to the same account of the candidate from which payment had been made.

2 If the seat is allotted and the candidate does not join the course, the Full Tuition Fee / Registration Fee amount will be forfeited and such a candidate will be debarred from taking the NEET exam next year.

3 If a candidate is allotted a seat in the Stray-2 round and joins the allotted seat, the Registration Fee will be adjusted against the Tuition Fee, if any.

4 Therefore, it is advised that the candidate makes a thoughtful decision before submitting Course Preferences for Stray-2 vacancy counselling.

ELIGIBILITY FOR REGISTERING STRAY 2 VACANCY ROUND

1 Candidates who are holding any seat in All India Quota or State Quota after Stray Round.

2 Candidates who have been allotted any seat in Round 3 or in any Stray round in All India Quota or State Quota and have not joined.
