DME Gujarat declares Round 2 NEET Counselling Schedule

Gujarat: The Director of Medical Education (DME Gujarat) has released the schedule for Round 02 online registration and document verification only for those candidates who have not Registered in Round 01 for admission to the above Courses in Government, Grant in aid, and Self-financed Medical, Dental, Ayurvedic and Homeopathy Colleges (including 15% All India quota seats of BAMS & BHMS courses in Self-financed colleges) based on NEET UG.

Detailed schedule –

1. Online PIN purchase from the website of the admission committee – till 21/08/2023 01:00 pm

2. For Online Registration - 21/08/2023 05:00 pm

3. Documents Verification and Submission of photocopies of Documents at Help Center - 22/08/2023 04:00 pm

For Online Registration, the PIN can be purchased online (website: www.medadmgujarat.org) on payment of Rs. 1000/- (Non-refundable) + Rs.10000 (Refundable Security Deposit) = Total Rs.11,000/-.

After online Registration, the candidate has to take a prior appointment for the Documents Verification and Submission of self-attested photocopies of Documents at the Help Center. Candidates themselves can select the Date and Help Center for Documents verification at the time of printing the Registration Slip.

For Local Quota: Candidates who want to apply for Local Quota Seats of Smt. NHL Municipal Medical College, Ahmedabad, or Surat Municipal Institute of Medical Education & Research (SMIMER), Surat. Candidate, in addition to online registration, must obtain the certificate that he/she is a local student of Ahmedabad/Surat city from the Dean of the respective institute; for this candidate has to contact the respective college.

For NRI Candidates only: After online application, they have to submit a Demand Draft of Rs.10,000/- in favor of “ACPUGMEC”, payable at Gandhinagar as a processing fee at the office of ACPUGMEC, GMERS Medical College, Gandhinagar Only.

For 15% All India quota seats of BAMS & BHMS courses in Self-financed colleges: For 15% All India quota seats of BAMS & BHMS courses in Self-financed colleges, students who have passed 12th Standard (Science Stream with B / AB Group) from anywhere in India from any examination board in India and after qualifying as per All India Rank in NEET-UG 2023 and eligible as per Admission Rules of Ministry of Ayush, Govt. of India and respective council can apply for the same.

Candidates who have purchased an Online PIN by paying Rs.11,000/- in Round 01 and have not done online registration/ documents verification & not submitted photocopies of documents at the Help Center after completing online registration need not purchase online PIN again. They only have to do document verification & submit photocopies of documents at the Help Center only.

The details related to each process are enclosed in the notice below.

Document verification will be done only at GMERS Medical College, Gandhinagar, help center for NRI candidates.

List of Documents to be Verified –

1. Standard 10th (SSC) mark-sheet

2. Standard 12th (HSC) mark-sheet

3. NEET-UG mark sheet of the current academic year

4. Proof of Birth Place - School Leaving Certificate/ Transfer Certificate/ Birth certificate/ Indian Passport

5. Proof of Birth Date - Standard 10th (SSC) mark sheet/ Birth certificate/ Indian Passport/ School Leaving Certificate/ Transfer Certificate

6. For candidates born outside Gujarat Domicile certificate issued by the authority empowered by the Government of Gujarat

7. For Scheduled Caste (SC) candidate Certificate belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC) issued by the authority empowered by the Government of Gujarat on that behalf

8. For Scheduled Tribes (ST) candidate Certificate belonging to Scheduled Tribes (ST) issued by the authority empowered by the Government of Gujarat on that behalf

9. For Socially and Educationally Backward Classes (SEBC) candidates - Certificate belonging to Socially and Educationally Backward Classes (SEBC), Non-Creamy Layer (NCL) certificate of the family, as per the prevailing policy of the Government of Gujarat issued on or after 01.04.2021. Both certificates are issued by the authority empowered by the Government of Gujarat on that behalf.

10. For Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) candidate - Certificate belonging to Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) issued by the authority empowered by the Government of Gujarat on that behalf on or after 01.04.2021

11. For Person with Disability (PwD) candidate - Certificate of Disability issued by the authority empowered by the Government

12. For local candidates of Ahmedabad - The certificate of local candidates from the Dean of Smt. NHL Municipal Medical College, Ahmedabad (It will be issued only after publication of NEET-UG results)

13. For local candidates of Surat - The certificate of local candidates from the Dean of Surat Municipal Institute of Medical Education and Research, Surat (It will be issued only after publication of NEET-UG results)

14. For Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) candidates - OCI card issued by the competent authority of the Central Government of India

15. Certificate Physical Fitness - Certificate of Physical Fitness in the prescribed form obtained from a registered medical practitioner (MBBS/MD/MS)

16. Children of defense personnel - Domicile certificate of defense personnel issued by the authority empowered by the Government of Gujarat

17. Sons and daughters of IAS/IPS/IRS personnel - Details of Original Posting in Gujarat State & thereafter current transfer order

18. Students who passed 12th from Jawahar Navoday Vidhyalaya outside Gujarat State - Passing marksheet of Std.1st to Std.8th issued from School Located in Gujarat State

19. Students who passed std. 12th from Gujarat Board of Union Territories of Daman & Diu and Dadra & Nagar Haveli - Std.12th Marksheet of Gujarat Board & Domicile certificate issued by the authority empowered by the Government of Gujarat.

Preparation and publication of merit list –

1. After the registration process, ACPUGMEC will prepare and declare a merit list of all eligible candidates. Candidate needs to verify merit number and category as mentioned in registration details.

2. ACPUGMEC will prepare a merit list on the basis of All India Rank of NEET-UG [ACPUGMEC NEET-UG.

3. After the merit list declaration, the choice filling will be initiated online for each round. The mock round may be conducted before the actual first round of choice filling to create awareness regarding the online allotment process. Mock round allotment will not be considered a true (actual) allotment. The actual first round will be conducted after the Mock round. Candidates can fill in fresh choices or modify their previously filled choices.

4. Once the choice-filling period is over, the ACPUGMEC will process for allotment of seats and declare the status of allotment on the website. The candidates can view their status of allotment by login through their own User ID.

Payment of tuition fees –

The candidate has to pay the requisite amount of tuition fees of his allotted institute by cash/DD at any of the designated bank branches or through online payment within the time limit specified by the ACPUGMEC.

Original document submission at help center –

1. The candidate has to submit the original documents (as per his category, as mentioned in Annexure in point 3) along with the Allotment Letter of the respective Round and Receipt of Payment of Tuition Fees at the appointed Help Center for confirmation of admission.

2. The candidate, who fails to pay prescribed fees and submit original documents, his admission will not be granted under any circumstances.

For NRI candidates only –

After online application, they have to submit a Demand Draft of Rs.10,000/- in favor of “ACPUGMEC”, payable at Gandhinagar as a processing fee at the office of ACPUGMEC, GMERS Medical College, Gandhinagar only.

Eligibility criteria - (As per notification by Health & Family welfare department, Government of Gujarat, Gandhinagar) –

1. A candidate shall be a Non-Resident Indian, or His/her parents, or in the absence of his/her parents, his/her legal guardian shall be Non-Resident India.

2. The candidate must have obtained minimum qualifying marks in the 12th Standard as per the regulatory Council.

3. The candidate should have appeared in the NEET-UG-2023 examination and have been declared “Qualified.”

4. A candidate shall have completed 17 years of age on or before the 31st December of the Academic Year for which the admissions are being conducted.

5. “Provisional Eligibility Certificate” should be obtained from the concerned University within one month of admission.

Merit list - Admission to eligible candidates on the Non-resident Indian seats shall be given by ACPUGMEC on the basis of a merit list based on the NEET-UG-2023 score.

Documents -

1. Application will be considered only if documents (clearly legible), whichever is applicable, are submitted as mentioned in NRI checklist parts 1 & 2.

2. Demand draft in favor of “ACPUGMEC,” payable at Gandhinagar, of Rs. 10,000/-

3. Print-out of Online Application

4. School Leaving Certificate / Transfer certificate

5. Document showing place of birth

6. 10th standard marksheet

7. 12th standard marksheet / Equivalent Examination marksheet

8. Transcript – for abroad students who have passed 12th from foreign boards/universities, other than Gujarat board, CBSE board, ICSE board, other state boards of India, NIOS board.

9. If the grades are mentioned in the subjects in the HSC / equivalent marksheet, in that case, the candidate has to submit the Marksheet or valid document issued by the concerned competent authority showing obtained marks / total marks OR percentage of marks for both theory and practical in all subjects

10. Equivalence Certificate – for abroad students who have passed the 12th / equivalent examination from foreign boards/universities, other than Gujarat board, CBSE board, ICSE board, other state boards of India, NIOS board

11. NEET-UG-2023 Examination Mark Sheet

12. Domicile certificate of Gujarat state (If the candidate is eligible for GQ+ MQ+NQ & Born outside Gujarat state)

13. Local quota certificate issued by Dean, Smt. NHL municipal medical college, Ahmedabad or Dean, SMIMER, Surat (If candidate is eligible for GQ+ MQ+NQ)

14. Caste certificate [For SEBC, SC, ST category by Authorities of Gujarat State only]

15. Non-creamy layer certificate (Parishistha ‘4’ in Gujarati) (issued after 01-04-2021)

16. EWS certificate (Issued by competent authorities of Gujarat State only issued after 01-04-2021)

17. Medical fitness certificate as per the given format on the website

18. Passport (Notarized color photocopies of all pages including blank Pages) of NRI student/NRI Parents. (Important note: Page numbers should be clearly legible on all pages, including blank pages)

19. Old passport (Notarized color photocopies of all pages including blank Pages) of NRI student/NRI Parents), if a new passport is issued in the year 2022 or 2023. (Important note: Page numbers should be clearly legible on all pages, including blank pages)

20. OCI (Notarized Color Photocopy) / Document/s for Proof of Origin (PIO card) (Notarized Color Photocopy)

21. Resident permit (Notarized Colour Photocopy)

22. Resident identity card (Notarized Colour Photocopy)

23. Visa permit (Notarized Colour Photocopy)

24. P.R. Card (Notarized Colour Photocopy)

25. Citizenship card (Notarized Colour Photocopy)

26. Address proof - Indian & Foreign (Notarized Colour Photocopy)

27. Undertaking in regard to the fees from NRI Student/Parent (on 300 Rs. Stamp paper), as per the given format on the website

All necessary documents should be available in English language only. If any document is in a language other than English, then all the details in that document (like name, address, occupation, employee details, employer’s details, dates, etc.) must be translated into the English language by the competent authority. If dates are mentioned in a calendar other than the English calendar, then dates should also be translated/converted according to the English calendar in DD/MM/YYYY format. The candidate has to submit the notarized color photocopy of that document in the local language along with the notarized color photocopy of the translated document.

The applicant shall have to produce the original documents to verify the documents at the time of verification at the help center. Residence in the college hostel will be offered to the students as available. The allotment, decided on the basis of merit/requirements, will be at the discretion of the Dean / Principal. Admission to the college does not guarantee hostel admission.

The hostel fees will be charged at the rate fixed by the respective Management from time to time and will be paid by the student before the beginning of each term. Any other fee is to be paid by the student, as decided by college authorities at par with all students.

So long as the father of the student is alive, no other person will be ordinarily accepted as his guardian.
