DME Gujarat releases instructions for Joining Of Admitted NEET Candidates

Gujarat: The Director of Medical Education (DME Gujarat) informed about the joining of the candidates who have been admitted to NEET UG courses. The admitted list up to round has also been released.

Per the notice, academic sessions for NEET UG courses (MBBS/BDS) started on 15th November 2022. So, all the candidates who are admitted & completed the admission confirmation process, i.e. payment of fees & submission of original documents to the help centre of ACPUGMEC and get the admission order from the help centre, should join their admitted institute immediately without fail.

Till now, 2 rounds have been completed for NEET UG admission. The last date for reporting to the allotted college for round 2 was 28th November 2022. In round 2, admission was given on newly added seats, non-reported seats of round 1, cancelled seats after round 1 & subsequent vacant seats due to allotment on the above seats.

The candidates were asked to report to the help centre to verify their documents. They had to make a prior appointment for the document submission at the help centre. While downloading the allotment letter, they could select the date and time for document submission at the help centre.

Eligibility –

1. Candidates must be NEET UG qualified.

2. Candidates must be Indian citizens.

3. Candidates who have cleared their class 10+2 examination with English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as the main subject.

4. Candidates must have completed 17 years of age at admission or will complete that age on or before 31st December 2022.

The National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET-UG) is being conducted by NTA for admission to undergraduate medical education, with the approval of the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare and MHRD. The test is conducted once a year.

The medical education department plays a pivotal role in developing medical and para-medical personnel to cater to the state's health needs. The department also has a role to play in establishing and maintaining well-equipped teaching institutions, which are the premier referral centres with state-of-the-art equipment and technology.

Recently Medical Dialogues team reported that DME had announced information about the 4th stray vacancy offline round for NEET PG and NEET MDS admission. The 4th stray vacancy offline round happened today (30th November 2022) for both courses. No proxy and authority were allowed for this round. All the candidates who are included in the Merit-list of ACPPGMEC could participate in the 4th stray vacancy (offline) round, except the candidates who have secured and joined admission in 50% AIQ/Deemed/Central Universities/AFMS seats counselling OR DNB seats OR Seats of Gujarat state counselling OR Other state counselling.
