JIPMER Begins Online Registration Process For PDF, PDCC Courses, Check out all admission Details
Puducherry: The online registrations for Post-Doctoral Fellowship (PDF) & Post-Doctoral Certificate Course (PDCC) have begun. Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research (JIPMER) has released a detailed prospectus.

Candidates are advised to read the prospectus before starting online registration and ensure no column is left blank. Request for rectification of any error committed in the application and refund of fees will not be considered under any circumstances.

Visit the institute home page, www.jipmer.edu.in and navigate to the link “Application Link for PDF & PDC COURSES - July 2023.” The full name entered by the candidates in the application must match both their Govt. Photo ID Card (Aadhaar Card / Pan Card / Identity Card / Driver’s License etc.) and MD/MS/DNB/DM/M.Ch. Degree Certificate. (Spelling and order must be same – if it is not the same, the candidate is advised to change it in the document mentioned above/documents before applying).
The candidates should fill in the details carefully. No request for change in the details provided by the candidate in the application will be considered or entertained after submission of the online application. The process of submission of the application online is completed only after clicking the “submit button” after uploading the candidate details, Scanned Photograph, and Signature.
Candidates are advised to download a copy of their filled-in application with all the application details. Suppose the candidate finds an error of entry committed by them in the application after submitting the application fee. In that case, a new application should be submitted, and the fee should be paid again. The earlier application will automatically stand cancelled. No Email or Written communication will be entertained in this regard.
Mere completion of registration & making payment does not confer the right to receipt of a Hall Ticket. Incomplete applications and applications with false/wrong details can lead to the rejection of candidature at any stage.

The candidate should pay application fees for each category using online transactions, as mentioned below. No other mode of payment will be accepted.

The number and distribution of seats are subject to variation based on any periodic directives from Competent Authority. If suitable candidates are unavailable in the sponsored seats, the same will not be converted to General Seats in the respective speciality.
Per the judgment of the Constitution Bench of Supreme Court of India Writ Petition © No. 350/1998, no reservations are being followed for the super speciality courses of DM/MCh/Fellowship/PhD courses in this Institute).
Eligibility for admission to PDF & PDC courses -
1. Candidates should be Indian Nationals.
2. Candidates should have passed MD/MS/DNB degrees from any Institute/University recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC).
3. The abovementioned degree must be registered with the National Medical Commission/State Medical Council.
4. Candidates should have completed the qualifying postgraduate course on or before June 30, 2023.

Sponsored Category –
Candidates applying for admission as sponsored candidates should fulfil the following conditions duly certified by their sponsoring authority employer for admission to the course in the Discipline. The candidate must submit a scanned copy of the sponsorship certificate (Annexure-V).
In case of inability to upload the sponsorship certificate at the time of submission of online application, applicants are permitted to upload a scanned copy of the sponsorship certificate (.jpg /pdf) using their user id and password on or before 12.05.2023 (Friday) 1 PM in the database. Non-receipt of scanned copies in the database of such candidates will automatically reject their application, and a hall ticket will not be generated/issued.
The sponsored certificate should contain the following declaration by the sponsoring Authority –
1. That the candidate concerned is a permanent or regular employee of the deputing / sponsoring Authority and should have been working for at least the last three years (on or before June 30 2023).
2. And that the candidate, after training at JIPMER, Puducherry, will be suitably employed by the deputing/sponsoring Authority to work for at least five years in the speciality in which the candidate at JIPMER receives training.
3. And that no financial implications, in the form of emoluments/stipend etc., will devolve upon JIPMER, Puducherry, during the entire period of their course, and such payment shall be the responsibility of the sponsoring Authority.
4. Sponsorship of candidates holding tenure appointments (like house job, Junior or Senior Residency, adhoc or contract or honorary appointment against a leave vacancy) shall NOT be accepted. Sponsorship of any candidate by private hospitals, institutes or nursing homes is not accepted. The sponsoring Institute should not nominate more than one candidate for each speciality specified in the distribution of seats in the Discipline. (Page No: 6 & 7).
Sponsorship / Deputation of candidates will be accepted only from the following -
1. Central or State Government Departments/Institutions
2. Autonomous Bodies of the Central or State Government
3. Public sector colleges affiliated with universities and recognized by the MCI. In case of a candidate deputed/ sponsored by the Medical College affiliated to Universities and recognized by the National Medical Commission, a deputation/sponsorship certificate signed by ONLY the Principal of the Medical College concerned shall be accepted
Selection -
Sponsored/Deputed candidates must appear and qualify in the common entrance examination. If selected for admission to any course of the JIPMER, candidates are required to make their own arrangements for stay during the period of their course.
The sponsored candidates selected for admission will be granted only a 1-month time to produce Sponsorship/Relieving/Study leave/NOC certificates from the date of document verification. No further extension will be allowed under any circumstances.

Applicants can opt for only three exam cities. The allotment of Exam City would be as per the order of preference clicked by the applicant during online Registration on a first-come, first-served basis.
No request for a change of centre by the candidate would be considered under any circumstances. The exam city preference is only indicative and subject to change. JIPMER retains the final decision on the centre allotment. Suppose an exam city is cancelled due to the non-availability of a minimum number of candidates in that city. In that case, JIPMER shall re-allocate candidates who have chosen that city to any other available centre/city. It will be binding on the candidates.
Any exam city can be withdrawn due to unforeseen circumstances at any point in time. JIPMER can allot a new exam city en bloc with a due intimation on the website or text message.

Hall Ticket -
Candidates can download their Hall Tickets for the Entrance Examination from 18-05- 2023 (Thursday) from 11 AM onwards.
The Hall Ticket will contain the following -
1. Name and date of birth as typed by the candidate in the application
2. Photo and signature image as uploaded by the candidate
3. Examination City allotted and Roll Number
Candidates will be allowed to appear for the Entrance Examination only if they produce the hall ticket, Identity proof in original & photocopy.
Candidates are strictly prohibited from writing anything on the Hall Ticket or the photocopy of the identity card.
This Hall Ticket is issued subject to the condition that if ineligibility is detected at any stage, the candidature will be cancelled.
Mock test –
Candidates are advised to attempt the Mock Test for a computer-based Test (online examination). The mock test and Candidate Experience video link will be available on www.jipmer.edu.in (PDF & PDCC Course Entrance Examination).
Merit list and declaration of results –
Merit List would be drawn discipline-wise, based on Percentage and published tentatively on or before 09-06-2023 (Friday) on the JIPMER website (www.jipmer.edu.in). Candidates who secure less than the minimum Percentage in the Entrance Examination will not be considered for admission, and their names will not be included in the Merit List. Individual letters will not be sent to the selected candidates or those placed on the waiting list.
