Kerala govt issues document checklist for NRI quota medical admissions
Thiruvananthapuram: The Government of Kerala has issued a revised order modifying the documents required to be submitted by candidates seeking admission to medical courses under the NRI quota.
The changes have been notified through G.O.(Rt) No.191/2026/H&FWD, issued by the Health and Family Welfare Department, with immediate effect
As per the government order, the revised document requirements are based on recommendations from the Admission Supervisory Committee and the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, Government are pleased to order that the NRI students shall submit the following documents in addition to the documents mentioned in the GOs read above for admission to the Medical courses.
iii. Sponsorship Certificate: Documents attested by Embassies abroad shall have a validity of six months. In case of a discrepancy between the employer's name in the Sponsorship Certificate and the Resident Identity Card, the CEE/Concerned Authorities shall conduct a verification, seek explanations from the applicant, and take appropriate decisions based on the information gathered from the relevant institutions.
Candidates are advised to regularly check the official websites of the CEE Kerala and the Health and Family Welfare Department for further updates related to medical admissions under the NRI quota.
