NEET SS 2024 refunds: MCC identifies pending cases, mandates affidavit submission
New Delhi: The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has issued a fresh notice regarding the refund of security deposits for candidates who took part in the NEET SS 2024 counselling process.
Along with the notice, the committee has also released a list of candidates whose refunds are still pending, offering some clarity to those waiting for their money.
According to the update, the pending refunds are related to candidates who are otherwise eligible to receive back their security deposit after the completion of the Super Specialty counselling. Candidates have been advised to go through the list carefully and check their details.
The notice, released on April 2, 2026, identifies candidates whose refunds are yet to be processed and outlines the mandatory steps required to initiate the reimbursement.
According to the official communication, affected candidates must submit a duly filled Annexure A in the form of a notarised affidavit.
The MCC has specified that the affidavit must include key details such as roll number, application number, bank account information, and proof of payment, along with supporting documents like Aadhaar card, admit card, and a cancelled cheque or passbook copy.
The committee reiterated that security deposits are refundable only under specific conditions, including candidates who reported to their allotted institute after Round 2 of counselling or those who opted for a free exit in Round 1. Any deviation from these conditions could lead to forfeiture, as per the counselling scheme.
Candidates have been instructed to email the completed Annexure A to the designated official email IDs to facilitate the refund process. The MCC has cautioned that incomplete or incorrectly submitted documents may result in further delays, urging applicants to ensure accuracy and timely submission.
