MCC notifies on Eligibility Criteria for AIIMS Foreign National Seat Quota, check Details

New Delhi- Through the notice, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has informed about the eligibility criteria for the 'Foreign National Seat Quota' of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS).

As per the notice, it is informed that as per the instructions received by MCC from the competent authorities of AIIMS, only foreign nationals and OCI candidates (holding foreign passport/citizenship and paying fee in foreign currency) are considered eligible for 'Foreign National Quota' of AIIMS.

However, Indian citizens, NRIs and NRI sponsored are not considered eligible for the 'Foreign National Seat Quota' of AIIMS.

The notice further informed that if any candidate is allotted a seat (by MCC counselling software) in AIIMS Foreign quota, who does not fulfil the eligibility criteria, then admission of the said candidate will be cancelled at the level of AIIMS itself at the time of reporting.

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) is an organisation under the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) affiliated to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India and responsible for allotting seats for undergraduate, postgraduate and super-speciality medical and dental courses in government-run/aided colleges and deemed-to-be-university colleges. It allows seats online based on the candidate's score in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET). Factors considered during allotment are merit, reservation eligibility and the preference list submitted by the candidate. Directorate General of Health Services, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare has been entrusted with the responsibility to hold on-line Counselling for 15% AIQ seats for UG courses, 50% AIQ seats for PG courses & 100% seats in Super-specialty courses (DM/Mch), as per various Gazette notification of NMC, various Court orders & notifications of MoHFW.
