Tamil Nadu: The candidates willing to apply for postgraduate degree/diploma courses in government medical colleges and government seats in self-financing medical colleges for the 2022-2023 session can apply till 26th August 2022 (5:00 pm) online, Director of Medical Education (DME Tamil Nadu) has announced.

Procedure for filling & submission of application -

1. The online application form is available on the websites www.tnhealth.tn.gov.in/ www.tnmedicalselection.org. Any change or modification and relevant information pertaining to the admission process will be available on these two websites.

2. The last date for receipt of the filled-in online application is 29th August, 2922 (5:00 pm). The candidates must send the application form to The Secretary, Selection Committee, 162, Periyar EVR High Road, Kilpauk, Chennai – 600 010. The date for the rank list, counselling schedule, closure of admission, and commencement of courses will be notified later.

3. Candidates are advised to read the Prospectus carefully before filling out the online application and ensure that no mandatory column is left blank. In the event of rejection of the application form, no correspondence/request for re-consideration will be entertained.

4. Candidates are advised to read the Information Bulletin for NEET PG 2022 issued by the National Board of Examination (NBE). They carefully go through the instructions regarding NEET PG 2022and visit the website www.nbe.edu.inregarding detailed qualifying criteria.

5. Incomplete applications will be rejected.

6. Candidates are advised to submit only one online application form. If the candidates submit more than one online application form, their candidature will be cancelled.

7. Candidates should ensure that all information entered in the online application is correct during the online submission of the application form.

8. Candidates should send their filled-in online application form along with all the enclosures in an A4 size cloth lined cover. The template with the requisite details should be printed and pasted on the cover.

9. AR Number (Application Registration Number) will be assigned by the Selection Committee on receipt of the filled-in online applications.

Processing fee –

1. Non Refundable processing fee of Rs.1000.

2. Security Deposit - For Government Medical Colleges - Rs.30000, For Government Quota in Self Financing Medical Colleges – Rs.100000

Security deposit which will be refunded to the candidates –

1. After joining the allotted college.

2. If the candidate did not get any seats during counselling.

Security Deposit may not be refunded in certain cases as specified in clause 25 (ii).

Candidate's Left thumb Impression -

1. The candidates should put their hand thumb impression on white paper with blue ink and scan for uploading. In case of any eventuality of the left thumb being unavailable, a right-hand thumb impression may be used.

2. File size must be between 10kb to 50kb.

3. Further, an unclear Left-hand thumb impression in the online Application Form will be rejected.

General instructions –

Application fee payment –

1. The candidate can pay the fee of Rs .3000 (Non-refundable) through Debit Card, Credit Card/ Net Banking or through the Demand Draft in favour of the Secretary, Selection Committee, Directorate of Medical Education, Chennai -10.

2. The last date for submission of the online application form will be up to 5.00 pm on 26th August 2022; there is no provision for candidates to submit their online application form.

3. Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Caste (Arunthathiyar) / Scheduled Tribe candidates of Tamil Nadu native are exempted from payment of the cost of the application.

Service Candidates should take the printout of the online application form and attach their service particulars along with the filled-in online application forms. (Duly certified by the Forwarding Authority with date and seal). Non-Service candidates should send their printout of filled-in online applications with necessary enclosures directly to "The Secretary, Selection Committee, Kilpauk, Chennai-10".

1. NEET PG 2022-Score Card

3. MBBS Degree Certificate and Diploma Certificate or Provisional Pass Certificate

4. CRRI Completion Certificate

5. Permanent Medical Registration Certificate issued by the Medical Council of India /State Medical Council or provisional Registration Certificate issued by the Medical Council of India/State Medical Council

6. Community Certificate issued by the Competent authority indicating the Community status of candidates belonging to Backward Community/Backward Community (Muslim)/ Most Backward Community/Denotified Communities/Schedule Caste/Schedule Caste (Arunthathiyar)

7. TNPSC/MRB (through competitive written examination) Selection & Posting Order (For Service Candidates).

8. Nativity Certificate with supportive documents as mentioned in clause 2(b).

9. Recent Regional Medical Board Certificate for Person with Disabilities.

10. Eligibility Certificate.

11. Aadhar card/PAN Card/voter ID

The same photo that was uploaded in NEET PG 2022 must be uploaded in the filled-in online application. Post Card size colour photograph (4"x6") (size: 50kb to 300kb) to be uploaded.

Eligibility criteria –

1. Candidates should be Citizens of India and should have undergone an MBBS course, including the entire Compulsory Residential Rotatory Internship (CRRI) period in the State of Tamil Nadu.

2. The candidates who are claiming Nativity of Tamil Nadu should furnish their Certificates of Nativity of Tamil Nadu issued by the competent authority and supported by the following documents: Valid copy of Aadhar Card, Driving Licence, Voter's ID, Passport and Proof of Parent's Documents is Mandatory (Aadhar Card and School Certificates) If a copy of the supporting documents is not produced, then the application will be summarily rejected.

3. Candidates seeking admission in Post Graduate Degree / Diploma Courses must qualify for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test-NEET PG 2022 conducted by the National Board of Examination.

4. Candidates who have cleared their MBBS Examination and completed/completed the CRRI period on or before 31st May 2022 are only eligible to apply. However, the candidates should possess the Permanent Medical Council Registration Certificate of the States or of India or the provisional Registration Certificate of the Medical Council at the time of counselling.

5. Candidates completing their Diploma courses before 31st March 2022 are eligible to apply for Post Graduate Degree Courses in the same academic year of 2022-2023.

6. Candidates should possess an MBBS Degree awarded by the Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R Medical University or any other University recognized by the Medical Council of India. The candidates who have qualified from other Universities should produce an eligibility certificate from the Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, Guindy, Chennai- 600 032 at the time of certificate verification.

Non eligibility criteria –

1. Candidates who join a Post Graduate Degree / Diploma course in any Branch and discontinue the course on any grounds on or after the second round of counselling as per the guidelines of the National Medical Commission are not eligible to apply for two subsequent academic years for any Post Graduate Degree / Diploma Courses. Further, the candidate shall be considered as discontinued and should pay the Discontinuation Fee as per Clause 24 (c) of this Prospectus.

2. The candidates who take allotments for PG Degree / Diploma courses in any branch in the second round of counselling must join the courses. If not, they are not eligible to apply for two subsequent academic years for any Post Graduate Degree / Diploma Courses. Therefore, the candidate shall be considered discontinued and should pay the discontinuation fee per clause 24(c) of this Prospectus.

3. Candidates who have already completed a Post Graduate Degree/DNB/Equivalent Courses are not eligible to apply for admission to any other Post Graduate Degree / Diploma Courses.

4. A candidate already a Diploma holder is not eligible to apply for another Diploma course but can apply for any Post Graduate Degree Course.

5. Candidates undergoing Postgraduate Degree / Diploma courses are not eligible to apply for any Post Graduate Degree /Diploma Courses.

6. Candidates belonging to other states (other than Tamil Nadu) are not eligible for Government seats in Government Medical colleges and Government Quota seats in Self-Financing Medical Colleges.

Rank list –

1. The Rank list will be drawn based on marks obtained in NEET PG 2022 and the additional weightage marks awarded to eligible in-service candidates who have qualified in NEET PG -2022 as per the existing norms.

2. The service candidates shall be awarded an additional weightage up to 10% of the marks secured in the NEET PG-2022 per year of completion of service in remote and or /difficult or rural areas.

3. The Secretary of Selection Committee will publish the tentative Rank List on the following official websites after completion of scrutiny of all applications received for this academic year 2022-2023.

Counselling procedure –

There will be 4 rounds of counselling Round -1, Round -2, Mop-Up and Stray Vacancy Round. The detailed process of all the rounds is enclosed in the notice below. The respective Self Financing Colleges will conduct stray Vacancies from the merit list being furnished by the selection committee. Selection Committee takes no responsibility for any allotment made in the Stray Vacancy Round.

The candidate who has not registered and is not choice locked in the 1st round of online counselling will be permitted to attend the subsequent rounds of online counselling.

Candidates selected for admission should give a self-declaration form at the time of reporting to the concerned Medical College that they are liable for forfeiture of selection/admission if suppression of facts or misinterpretation is found at any time during or after the admission to the course.

If any suppression of facts is found later, the selection/admission will be liable for cancellation during or after the admission to the course based on the declaration. Further, the candidates will not be allowed to apply for the Post Graduate Courses for two subsequent academic years.

The candidates should download their provisional allotment order and join the course in the concerned Medical College on or before the date and time stipulated during the first phase of online counselling.

4. Eligibility Certificate.- To be from the TN.Dr. MGR Medical University Guindy Chennai 32. (Only for the candidates who have qualified from other University).

Method of selection and admission –

1. Seats in Government Medical Colleges University: Out of the seats sanctioned for Post Graduate Diploma/Degree Courses, 50% of the total recognized/permitted seats are offered to All India Quota for allotment by the Director General of Health Services, New Delhi. The remaining 50% of the seats will be allotted under State Quota during the first phase of counselling.

2. Seats in Self-Financing Medical Colleges: Seat sharing with Self-Financing Minority and Non-Minority Medical Colleges will be as per State Policy and NMC Post Graduate Medical Education Regulation, 2000 and applicable Court Orders.

3. Out of 50% of the seats in the State Government quota, 50% of the seats will be exclusively allocated to in-service candidates serving in Government health institutions in the State of Tamil Nadu, and the remaining 50% of seats will be allocated to Open category which will be open to both service and non-service candidates.

4. 50% of the seats in Post Graduate Diploma Courses shall be reserved for Medical Officers in the Government service, who has served for at least three years in remote, and/or difficult or rural areas of Tamil Nadu.

5. 5% of the total number of seats available in Government Medical Institutions are reserved for Persons with disabilities.

Stipend –

1. All Non-Service candidates selected will be paid a stipend as per the Government Orders issued by the Government from time to time for Government Medical Colleges as per the norms of the Institution concerned.

2. Service Candidates will be paid salary as per the Government Orders issued by Government from time to time if the candidates are selected for Post Graduate Degree / Diploma Courses in the Government Medical Colleges.
