Tamil Nadu: The candidates willing to apply for postgraduate degree/diploma courses under management quota for the 2022-2023 session can apply till 26th August 2022 (5:00 pm) online, announced the Director of Medical Education (DME Tamil Nadu).

Procedure for filling & submission of application -

1. The online application form is available on the websites www.tnhealth.tn.gov.in/ www.tnmedicalselection.org. Any change or modification and relevant information pertaining to the admission process will be available on these two websites.

2. As per the notice, the last date for receipt of filled- in the online application is 29th August 2922 (5:00 pm). The candidates must send the application form to The Secretary, Selection Committee, 162, Periyar EVR High Road, Kilpauk, Chennai – 600 010. The date for the rank list, counselling schedule, closure of admission, and commencement of courses will be notified later.

3. Candidates are advised to read the prospectus carefully before filling out the online application and ensure that no mandatory column is left blank. In the event of rejection of the application form, no correspondence/request for re-consideration will be entertained.

4. Candidates are advised to read the Information Bulletin for NEET PG 2022 issued by the National Board of Examination (NBE. They carefully go through the instructions regarding NEET PG 2022and visit the website www.nbe.edu.inregarding detailed qualifying criteria.

5. Incomplete applications will be rejected.

6. Candidates are advised to submit only one online application form. If the candidates submit more than one online application form, their candidature will be cancelled.

7. Candidates should ensure that all information entered in the online application is correct during the online submission of the application form.

8. Candidates should send their filled-in online application form along with all the enclosures in an A4 size cloth lined cover. The template with the requisite details should be printed and pasted on the cover.

9. AR Number (Application Registration Number) will be assigned by the Selection Committee on receipt of the filled-in online applications.

Processing fee –

1. Non Refundable processing fee of Rs.1000.

2. Security Deposit - For Management Quota in Self Financing Medical Colleges – Rs.200000

Security deposit which will be refunded to the candidates –

1. After joining the allotted college.

2. If the candidate did not get any seats during counselling.

The security deposit may not be refunded in certain cases as specified in clause 23 (c).

Candidate's Left thumb Impression -

1. The candidates should put their hand thumb impression on white paper with blue ink and scan for uploading. In case of any eventuality of the left thumb being unavailable, a right-hand thumb impression may be used.

2. File size must be between 10kb to 50kb.

3. Further, an unclear Left-hand thumb impression in the online Application Form will be rejected.

General instructions –

Application fee payment –

1. The candidate can pay the fee of Rs .5000 (Non-refundable) through Debit Card, Credit Card/ Net Banking or through the Demand Draft in favour of the Secretary, Selection Committee, Directorate of Medical Education, Chennai -10.

2. The last date for submission of the online application form will be up to 5.00 pm on 26th August 2022; after that,r there is no provision for candidates to submit their online application form.

Documents (Self-attested Photocopies) to be submitted along with the application form

1. NEET PG 2022-Score Card

2. NEET PG 2022Admit Card

3. MBBS Degree Certificate and Diploma Certificate or Provisional Pass Certificate

4. CRRI Completion Certificate

5. Permanent Medical Registration Certificate issued by the Medical Council of India /State Medical Council or provisional Registration Certificate issued by the Medical Council of India/State Medical Council

6. Community Certificate issued by the Competent authority indicating the Community status of candidates belonging to Backward Community/Backward Community (Muslim)/ Most Backward Community/Denotified Communities/Schedule Caste/Schedule Caste (Arunthathiyar)

7. Scheduled Tribe candidates should produce community certificates issued by a Revenue Divisional Officer of the competent jurisdiction.

8. Eligibility Certificate.

9. Aadhar card/PAN Card/voter ID

NRI Candidates –

1. NRI status of the financial supporter issued by the Indian Embassy of the respective country under their seal.

2. Certificate of Relationship between the NRI financial supporter and the candidate issued by the competent authority with valid Indian Passport of the NRI financial supporter.

3. NRE (Non-Resident External) Bank Account Pass Book of the financial supporter.

4. Declaration ( Annexure III(a))

5. A copy of the Court Order is legally declared as guardian of the candidate as per provisions in "Guardians and Wards Act 1890", if applicable.

The candidates note that the documents above must be produced at the time of counselling for certificate verification. The same photo uploaded in NEET PG 2022 must be uploaded in the filled-in online application. Post Card size colour photograph (4"x6") (size: 50kb to 300kb) to be uploaded.

Eligibility criteria –

1. Candidates should be a Citizen of India.

2. Persons of Indian Origin (PIO)/ Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) will be considered only for the NRI seats as per the Gazette of India, Dated 4/3/2021. Therefore, they will not be eligible for any kind of reservation.

3. Candidates seeking admission must qualify for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test-NEET PG 2022conducted by the National Board of Examination.

4. Candidates who have cleared their MBBS Examination and completed/completed the CRRI period on or before 31st May 2022 are only eligible to apply. However, the candidates should possess the Permanent Medical Council Registration Certificate of the States or of India or the provisional Registration Certificate of the Medical Council at the time of counselling.

5. Candidates should possess an MBBS Degree awarded by the Tamil Nadu Dr M.G.R Medical University or any other University recognized by the Medical Council of Indi. The candidates who have qualified from other Universities should produce an eligibility certificate from the Tamil Nadu Dr M.G.R. Medical University, Guindy, Chennai- 600 032 at the time of certificate verification.

6. Candidates completing their Diploma courses before 31st March 2022 are eligible to apply for Post Graduate Degree Courses in the same academic year of 2022-2023.

Guidelines for NRI candidates –

1. Candidates should be of Indian Origin settled in foreign countries/Candidates who were born in foreign countries and whose parents are of Indian Origin/Children of Indian citizens stay abroad for employment, business/Children of Indian citizens deputed abroad by Public Sector Undertaking/Children of the Official of the Central/State Government on deputation to abroad.

2. The candidates seeking admission to NRI Quota should have a valid Indian passport.

3. Admission under the Non-Resident of India scheme may be made based on the marks obtained in the Qualifying Examination as prescribed.

4. The seats under the NRI quota should be utilized only by the bonafide NRIs and for their children or wards. Therefore, the NRI financially supporting the candidates should either be the parent (Father or Mother) of the candidate or legally declared as guardian of the candidate by the Court as per provisions in "The Guardians and Wards Act 1890".

Candidates admitted under the "NRI" quota should submit the following documents -

1. NRI status of the financial supporter issued by the Indian Embassy of the respective country under their seal.

2. Certificate of Relationship between the NRI financial supporter and the candidate issued by the competent authority and valid Indian Passport of the NRI financial supporter.

3. NRE (Non-Resident External) Bank Account Pass Book of the financial supporter.

4. Evidence for payment of Development charges US $1000/- to the college by the NRI financial supporter (One-time payment at the time of admission only).

Non-eligibility criteria –

1. Candidates who join a Post Graduate Degree / Diploma course in any Branch and discontinue the course on any grounds on or after the second round of counselling as per the guidelines of the National Medical Commission are not eligible to apply for two subsequent academic years for any Post Graduate Degree / Diploma Courses. Further, the candidate shall be considered discontinued and should pay the Discontinuation Fee as per Clause 22 (c) of this prospectus.

2. The candidates who take allotments for PG Degree / Diploma courses in any branch in the second round of counselling must join the course; if not, they are not eligible to apply for two subsequent academic years for any Post Graduate Degree / Diploma Courses. The candidate shall be considered discontinued and should pay the discontinuation fee per clause 22(c) of this prospectus.

3. Candidates who have already completed a Post Graduate Degree/DNB/Equivalent Courses are not eligible to apply for admission to any other Post Graduate Degree / Diploma Courses.

4. A candidate already a Diploma holder is not eligible to apply for another Diploma course but can apply for any Post Graduate Degree Course.

Rank list –

1. The Rank list will be drawn based on marks obtained in NEET PG 2022.

2. The Secretary of the Selection Committee will publish the tentative Rank List on the following official websites after completion of scrutiny of all applications received for this academic year 2022-2023.

Counselling procedure –

1. There will be 4 rounds of counselling Round -1, Round -2, Mop-Up and Stray Vacancy Round. The detailed process of all the rounds is enclosed in the notice below. The respective Self Financing Colleges will conduct stray Vacancies from the merit list being furnished by the selection committee. Selection Committee takes no responsibility for any allotment made in the Stray Vacancy Round.

2. The admissions will be closed as per the guidelines issued by the Board of Governors, In supersession of the National Medical Commission, Director General of Health Service and the Tamil Nadu Dr.M.G.R. Medical University, Guindy, Chennai –600 032.

3. Candidates selected for admission should give a self-declaration form at the time of reporting to the concerned Medical College that they are liable for forfeiture of selection/admission if suppression of facts or misinterpretation is found at any time during or after the admission to the course.

4. If the candidates discontinue the course after any round of online counselling, they will have to forfeit their tuition fees. The candidates who have discontinued their course on or after the second round of online counselling should pay the penalty as mentioned in Clause22(c) of this prospectus.

5. Any legal complication/enquiry by any authority due to merit violation or any mistake /default that occurred during the conduction of stray vacancy round shall be the responsibility of the individual college, and the Selection Committee shall not be liable for the same.

Method of selection & admission –

1. Management Quota Seats in Self-Financing Medical Colleges: Seat sharing with SelfFinancing Minority and Non-Minority Colleges will be as per State Policy and MCI Post Graduate Medical Education Regulation, 2000 and applicable Court Orders.

2. Among seats under Management Quota, up to 15% of the total sanctioned seats will be allotted for NRI Quota.

3. Candidates who have selected the seats in the first round of counselling after certificate verification should receive the provisional allotment order. Candidates should join the course on or before the date mentioned in the allotment order.

4. Allotment will be made only for the seats affiliated to the Tamil Nadu Dr M.G.R Medical University for the Academic Year 2022-2023 session. Seats approved by the respective University for P.G. Degree/ Diploma courses for 2022-2023session will be displayed before the counselling.

Tuition fee –

1. Tuition fees for Management Quota including NRI in Self Financing Institutions as prescribed by "Committee On Fixation Offers In Respect Of Self-Financing Professional Colleges" for the years 2022-2023.

2. The selected candidates must pay the entire Tuition fee, special fee, etc., when downloading the allotment order online via RTGS / Demand Draft.

3. The determination of fees and other charges will be based on the guidelines of the National Medical Commission and Supreme court orders as in force.

The duration of Post Graduate Degree Courses is 3 years whereas the duration of Post Graduate Degree Courses for the Diploma Candidates who have undergone 2-year courses shall be 2 years in the same Specialty and 3 years in other specialties. The above concession is not applicable for those who have undergone a 1-year Diploma course either in the same or other specialties. For candidates who have undergone a Diploma in Clinical Pathology and Diploma in Diabetology, the duration of the Post Graduate Degree Course is 3 years. The duration of all Diploma Courses is 2 years.
