Maharashtra: Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS) has begun the online registration for MSc Pharmaceutical Medicine for 2023-2024.

Detailed schedule –

1. Last date of submission of online forms – 5.6.2023

2. Last date of receipt of hard copy of online application forms along with a self-attested photocopy of necessary documents to the University – 12.6.2023

3. Scrutiny of the applications - 12.6.2023 - 16.6.2023

4. Issue of admit card for CET - 20.6.2023

5. Date and time of CET Test - 25.6.2023 (11.00 am to 12.30 pm)

6. CET result – date will be announced later

7. Display of the provisional merit list – date will be announced later

8. Submission of grievance regarding provisional merit list – date will be announced later

9. Display of the final merit list & first round allotment – date will be announced later

10. Documents verification confirmation of Admission for First (I) Admission Round at respective study centre – date will be announced later

11. Reporting to admitted college – 1.8.2023

12. Admission cutoff date – 17.8.2023

The information Brochure and the online application form are available on the University website (htpp://www.muhs.ac.in). The candidates are requested to fill out the online application form. The link to the online application form is available at the end of the brochure. 2

The candidates must pay an application process fee of Rs. 1000 via the online payment gateway. The online transaction details are to be submitted along with the application form and necessary documents.

Candidates must submit one set of self-attested photocopies of certificates/documents and a print copy of the application form by post/by hand to the University on or before 12/06/2023. All the original documents and two sets of attested photocopies should be brought and submitted (if selected) at admission. The envelope should be superscripted with "M.Sc./M.B.A./M.P.H - Application form”.

Candidates having Caste/Tribe Validity & Non-Creamy Layer certificate shall be included in their respective Category. Candidates not having a Caste/Tribe Validity/Non-Creamy Layer certificate shall be treated as general /open categories.

Eligibility –

1. All Health Science Graduates, i.e. (MBBS/BDS/BAMS/BHMS/BUMS/BPTh/BPO/BOTh/ BASLP/PBBSc (Nursing) / BSc Nursing, BSc (Paramedical Technology). OR Health Science Degree from any Statutory University.

2. Those candidates doing internships are eligible for the entrance examination, but they have to submit Internship Completion Certificate along with other documents at the time of admission.

3. B Sc (Life Sciences) - Bio-Chemistry/Microbiology/Botany/Zoology Chemistry/ Physiology / Biotechnology.

4. Candidates who have completed their Bachelor of Sciences (B.Sc.) degree from the University in which there is no provision of specialization in the Final year at the undergraduate (UG) level but have studied at least one subject mentioned above in their curriculum at each of the I, II and III years are eligible for the course.

5. Pharmacy Graduates.

Course duration – 2 years

Language, of course – English

Seat – 60 seats are available. If the number of eligible candidates is greater and the Govt. permits, the University may increase the number of seats or study centres.

Nature of course - Interdisciplinary, full time

Scheme of entrance examination –

1. Candidates must appear for the objective type Common Entrance Examination (CET).

2. Objective Type Screening test will be conducted to shortlist the candidates.

3. Multiple-choice questions (MCQ) shall be based on the Basic Concepts of health and disease, National health policies and health programs.

4. The examination shall consist of a multiple-choice question paper of 100 marks containing 50 questions, and the duration of the examination shall be one and a half hours.

5. The candidate must mark the correct answer with a black/blue ballpoint pen in the objective question booklet.

6. Each correct answer will be given two marks. There shall be no negative marking.

7. Scratching, overwriting, and multiple answers will be considered wrong answers, and no marks will be allotted to them.

8. Candidates can choose any one of the following Examination Centre for CET, but the University will decide on the examination centre based on the choice of the number of applicants received for the respective Centre – Nashik, Pune, Aurangabad, Mumbai, Nagpur, Kolhapur, Latur

9. Details of the date of examination, time & venue shall be informed on the Hall ticket provided for CET. Hall tickets will be issued online to eligible candidates at their email addresses provided by them.

10. Language of the entrance examination shall be English.

Preparation of merit list –

1. Merit list shall be prepared of those candidates appearing for Entrance Examination (Screening Test). The said merit list shall be used for the process of provisional admission.

2. Second Level - The candidate with more aggregate marks (converted into percentages up to 2 decimal points) at SSC.

3. Third Level - If the tie persists, an older candidate will be preferred over a younger one.

Selection process –

At admission to the respective study centre, the candidate should bring all original documents and two sets of attested copies to support the claim made in the application form, i.e. Caste Certificate, Caste Validity Certificate, and non-creamy layer certificate.

The students admitted in the first round must submit the retention form to the respective study centre to confirm their admission. There is no need to submit the retention form to the admitted students during the second & subsequent rounds.

Cost of Identity Card

The actual cost of I. Card and Log Book, based on the rates obtained from the market, will be recovered from admitted students during

first year

Cost of Log Book

Refundable Amount only after completion of the course, subject to the following conditions -

1. Cost of Loss / Breakage / Damage of Instruments /Books /Journals will be deducted as Per No Dues Certificate.

2. If the cost of Instruments /Books /Journals is more than the deposit/Caution Money, the remaining amount will be recovered in lumpsum from the Student.

3. Degree/Transfer Certificate will be issued to the student only after recovery of Instruments/Books /Journals etc.

4. All fee concessions given by the government, such as free shipping/scholarship etc., are admissible only after subject to approval from concerned state Government departments /authorities, if applicable. Candidates will have to pay the total fee (as mentioned above) for their respective academic years before the commencement of the academic year. They must pay examination fees and any other fees applicable as per the MUHS circular.

Admission cancellation -

Refund of the Fees: The candidates who have confirmed their admission may cancel admission by applying and requesting requesting a fee refund. The refund of fees to candidates admitted for all courses shall be made after deduction as under.

The library deposit and caution money will be refunded within one year of course completion. No correspondence will be entertained after that.

Penalty for lapse seat: - Any candidate responsible for lapse of seat will have to pay total fees of I & II year of the course as the penalty for lapse seat. This penalty applies to all those candidates who do not join during the last round or cancel the admission. This penalty is also applicable to any candidate cancelling the admission after the cut-off date or failing to complete the course, irrespective of the admission quota of the candidate.
