NBE declares Round 2 post diploma DNB counselling results, candidates told to join allotted institute by August 5
New Delhi: The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has declared the Second Round allotment result for the Post Diploma DNB 2026 admission session. Candidates can now check their allotment status through the NBEMS counselling portal.
According to the official notice issued by the NBE, the allotment made in the second round will be treated as "Final and Non-upgradable." Candidates who have been allotted a seat in this round must join the allotted institute within the timeline specified in the counselling schedule and will not be eligible to participate in any subsequent rounds of counselling.
NBEMS has instructed candidates allotted seats in Round-2 to download their Seat Allotment Letter from the NBEMS Counselling Portal and report to their allotted institute by 5:00 PM on August 5, 2026. The Board has also advised candidates to refer to the Handbook for Centralised Merit-based Online Counselling for Admission to Post Diploma DNB Seats – 2026 Admission Session for the list of documents required at the time of joining and other admission-related instructions.
The Board has cautioned that candidates who fail to report to the allotted institute within the stipulated period, do not produce original documents for verification, or are found ineligible during document verification will lose their allotted seat. Such candidates will also become ineligible for any subsequent round of counselling, if conducted.
Additionally, the course fee deposited by the candidate will be forfeited, while the vacated seat will be made available in the next round of counselling, if applicable.
NBEMS clarified that the allotment is purely provisional and subject to fulfilment of all prescribed eligibility criteria, verification of original documents at the time of joining, and final scrutiny before the Board issues the Final Registration Number.
Candidates have been advised to ensure that they meet all eligibility requirements. If any discrepancy or ineligibility is detected before the issuance of the final registration number, both the candidate's candidature and the provisionally allotted seat are liable to be cancelled.
