NEET 2023: NTA Releases Provisional Answer Key, Details

Delhi: National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the provisional answer key for the candidates who have appeared for NEET UG 2023 held on 7th May 2023 at 4097 different centers located in 499 cities throughout the country, including 14 cities outside India.

The provisional answer key, scanned images of the OMR answer sheet, and recorded responses for NEET (UG) – 2023 have been uploaded on the website https://neet.nta.nic.in/ for candidates to challenge as per the following details –

Further, to facilitate the candidates, a scanned image of the OMR answer sheet has been sent to the registered e-mail address given by the candidates at the time of submission of the online application form for NEET (UG) – 2023. Candidates are being given an opportunity to make an online challenge against the provisional answer key by paying a non-refundable processing fee of 200/- per answer challenged within a specified period, as indicated above.

Candidates can also submit representation against the OMR grading by paying a non-refundable processing fee of ₹ 200/- per question challenged. The payment of the processing fee may be made through, Debit card/Credit Card/Net Banking/Paytm by 6th June 2023 (up to 11:50 PM). No challenge will be entertained without receipt of the processing fee. The challenges will not be accepted through any other mode.

NTA has further notified that challenges made by the candidates will be verified by the panel of subject Experts. If the challenge of any candidate is found correct, the answer key will be revised and applied in the response of all the candidates accordingly. Based on the revised final answer key, the result will be prepared and declared. No individual candidate will be informed about the acceptance/non-acceptance of his/her challenge. The key finalized by the Experts after the challenge will be final. No challenge will be accepted after 06 June 2023 (up to 11:50 PM).

Procedure for the challenge of answer key –

1. Please go to the website https://neet.nta.nic.in/

2. Click ‘Apply for Answer Key Challenge (s)’

3. Select the Test Booklet Code.

4. Login with your Application Number and Date of Birth and enter the Security Pin as displayed, and submit.

5. You will see the following Questions are in sequential order -

Physics/Chemistry/Botany/Zoology

The number next to the Question under the column ‘Correct Option’ stands for the most appropriate Answer Key used by the NTA.

7. If you wish to challenge this option, you may use any one or more of the Options given in the next four columns by clicking the check box.

8. You may want to upload supporting documents in which you can select ‘Choose File’ and upload (all documents are to be put in a single PDF file).

9. After clicking your desired option for Physics/Chemistry/Botany/Zoology for NEET (UG) - 2023, ‘Save your Claim’ and move to the next screen.

10. You will see a screen displaying your challenges.

11. Click on ‘Save your Claim and Pay Fee Finall.’

12. Select the Mode of Payment and Pay a processing fee @ ₹ 200/- for each question challenged. Make payment through Debit/Credit Card/Net Banking/Paytm.

13. After successful payment, download/print the Answer Key challenge receipt.

Procedure for the challenge of OMR answer sheet grading and recorded responses -

1. Please go to the website https://neet.nta.nic.in/

2. Login with your Application Number and Date of Birth and enter Security Pin as displayed, and submit.

3. Select the “OMR Challenge” in the left pane.

4. Click on the OMR Challenge Link.

5. You will see the following Questions are in sequential order -

6. Select the Question(s) for which you wish to challenge the Recorded Response.

7. The number next to the Question under the column ‘Captured Response as per OMR Sheet’ stands for the option opted by the Candidates in the OMR Answer Sheets.

8. Once you select any Question for Challenge, you will see three options under the column ‘Candidate’s Claim’.

9. If you wish to challenge this option, you may use the Options given in the ‘Candidate’s Claim’ column.

10. After clicking your desired option for Physics / Chemistry / Botany / Zoology for NEET (UG) - 2023, scroll down, ‘Submit’, and move to the next screen.

11. You will see a screen displaying your challenges.

12. Click on ‘Submit' and Pay Fee Finally.’

13. Select the Mode of Payment and Pay a processing fee @ ₹ 200/- for each question/grade challenged. Make payment through Debit/Credit Card/Net Banking/Paytm.

14. After successful payment, download/print the Answer Key challenge receipt
