New Delhi: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has opened a fresh correction window for candidates seeking a refund of the NEET UG 2026 examination fee. The extension in the facility allows them to update or correct their bank account details to facilitate the refund process.

According to the public notice issued by the NTA in this regard, the agency had earlier provided candidates with the facility to submit and confirm their bank account details for processing examination fee refunds. However, the agency observed that a significant number of candidates had entered invalid or incorrect bank account details, resulting in the failure of the refund transaction.

To address this issue, the NTA has decided to provide another opportunity for affected candidates to rectify their bank account information. The correction facility will remain available from July 14, 2026, up to 11:50 PM.

" NTA had published the Public Notice dated 30.06.2026 regarding confirmation, correction or updating of bank account details for refund of examination fee of NEET (UG) 2026 (for the Examination held on 03 May 2026). However, so far only about 1028223 candidates have updated and confirmed their bank accounts and NTA has already started refunding the examination fee to these candidates. NTA is committed to refund the examination fee paid by all candidates in view of the cancellation of the NEET (UG) 2026 examination held on 03 May 2026. However, a large number of students are yet to update/confirm their bank account details. Accordingly with a view to ensuring that every eligible candidate receives the refund, NTA has decided to once again extend the refund portal to those candidates who are yet to confirm and update their bank account. It is requested that students complete this exercise by 14 July 2026 (up to 11:50 P.M.) to enable NTA to complete the refund process without any delay," the notice read.

Candidates whose refund transactions were unsuccessful can log in to the NEET (UG) 2026 registration portal using their application number and password. They will be required to click on the 'Bank Account Details Confirmation' option and update the necessary information before submitting it for verification.

STEPS TO UPDATE BANK ACCOUNT DETAILS FOR NEET UG 2026 REFUND

STEP 2- Log in using application number and password or date of birth.

STEP 3- Open the bank details update/refund section.

STEP 4- Verify or correct bank account information.

STEP 5- Submit details and download the confirmation page.

The NTA reiterated that candidates should ensure the accuracy of the bank account details to avoid any further delay in receiving the examination fee refund.
