The notices outline the registration timeline, option entry schedule, and key counselling instructions for the final phase of PG medical admissions.
The Mop-Up Round is being conducted in continuation of the NBEMS recent notification dated January 13, 2026, and directions from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, which revised the NEET PG 2025 qualifying percentile, making additional candidates eligible for PG Medical counselling. These newly eligible candidates, along with those who remain unallotted from earlier rounds, are permitted to participate in the Mop-Up Round.
Therefore, according to the detailed Mop-Up Round notification, option entry for non-in-service candidates will be conducted from 02 February 2026, 1:00 PM to 05 February 2026. However, no new registrations will be accepted beyond this period.
Meanwhile, candidates must freshly enter their choices, irrespective of options submitted in previous rounds. Only options entered during this window will be considered for Mop-Up Round allotment.
OPTION ENTRY
1 Candidates who have already taken admission in colleges for the seats allotted by the authority are advised to participate only if they are interested in the seats (Upgradation). As soon as the seat is allotted in this round, the seat allotted in the previous rounds will be automatically cancelled and will be allotted to other candidates on the basis of merit in the same round. Those seats will not be able to be withdrawn for any reason and it is mandatory to get admission in the college allotted in this round.
2 All eligible candidates who submit original documents will be allowed to file OPTIONS. All candidates will have to file options afresh. Options filed earlier will not be considered.
3 Since seats are allotted on the basis of merit and Options registered by the candidates, candidates are advised to register only those Options in which they are interested in joining the college in order of priority.
4 Candidates are advised to enter Options for all the seats they wish to join even if there is no availability in the seat matrix, as seats that may be given up due to participation of admitted candidates, newly added seats (if any), PG Medical seats that are cancelled before the 3rd round and marked as vacant will also be considered for the 3rd round.
5 Before participating in the process, it is mandatory to know the seat fees in various categories and register/participate in options.
6 If a candidate fails to get admission in the college after allotment of seats in the 3rd round, action will be taken against the candidate. He/she will not be eligible to participate in the PG Medical Counselling in the following years, including All India Counselling.
Earlier, the fresh online registration was opened for newly eligible candidates. Hence, the registration Period was opened from 18 January 2026 to 26 January 2026. Candidates who successfully registered during this window are eligible for the Mop-Up Round seat allotment.
