NEET PG, NEET MDS Counselling 2023: UP DGME issues guidelines on stipend, reservation, check out details
Uttar Pradesh: Directorate General of Medical Education (UP DGME) has issued guidelines for NEET PG and NEET MDS counseling, stipend, and reservation process for the academic year 2023-24.
The counseling for both NEET PG and NEET MDS will be state-centralized. The schedule for the same will be announced once the Government of India announces the schedule. Admission taken through any individual or institute will not be considered. In such cases, it will be the candidates' sole responsibility, not DGMEs.
Only the candidates qualified for NEET PG and NEET MDS will be eligible to participate in the counseling process. Candidates applying for private medical and dental colleges should take proper information about the college's prior choice filling process. Once the allotment process is over, DGME will not clarify doubts related to the college. Candidates from other states, along with state candidates, can apply for private medical and dental colleges.
Stipend –
The candidates admitted to government medical and dental colleges will get a stipend permissible by the state government. And in the case of private medical and dental colleges, the stipend is fixed by college management. So candidates applying to private colleges should take prior information about the stipend given before applying. Regional Eye Society, Sitapur is a trust hospital, so no stipend will be given.
Reservation –
The candidates (OBC, schedule caste, EWS) applying for reservation will have to submit the related documents in the format fixed by the state government. The proof certificate for OBC and EWS candidates should be issued after 1st April 2023, or else it will not be considered. The proof certificate issued outside the state will not be considered. Proof issued in all India format will also not be considered.
For private medical and dental colleges, reservation of seats is not allowed. The PWD certificates issued from the centers nominated by the Government of India through a notice dated 27th June 2023 will only be considered.
