PG medical admissions 2025: NTRUHS invites applications for mop up, stray round counselling after NEET PG cutoff reduction
Vijayawada: Dr NTR University of Health Sciences (NTRUHS) Andhra Pradesh, has issued two important notifications inviting online applications for Postgraduate Medical Degree and Diploma admissions under both the Competent Authority Quota and Management Quota for the academic year 2025-26, following the reduction of NEET PG 2025 qualifying cut-off percentiles announced by the National Board of Examinations (NBE).
The move aims to fill vacant, unfilled, and newly sanctioned seats during Phase-III (Mop-Up) counselling and the subsequent Stray Vacancy Round across Government, Private Non-Minority, and Minority Medical Colleges in Andhra Pradesh, including SVIMS, Tirupati under Competent Authority Quota seats in Government and Private un-aided Non-Minority & Minority Medical Colleges in the State of Andhra Pradesh including SVIMS, Tirupati for the academic year 2025-26.
As per G.O. Ms. No. 163, HM & FW (C1) Dept., dated.05.12.2025 the following categorization of seats shall be applicable to the Government Medical Colleges permitted from the academic year 2023-24 onwards:
(A) Allocation of 50% of seats to All India Quota and the remaining 50% seats of State quota shall be allocated as follows:
Competent Authority (General Category): 50% of the seats shall be Competent Authority (General Category) quota seats and the same shall be filled with local candidates of two local areas of Andhra Pradesh as per the Article 371-D of the Presidential Order.
Competent Authority (Self-financing): 35% of the seats shall be Competent Authority (self-financing) category and the same shall be filled with local candidates of two local areas of Andhra Pradesh.
Competent Authority (NRI Category): 15% of the seats shall be Competent Authority (NRI Category).
(B) Competent Authority (Self-Financing) and Competent Authority (NRI Category) seats shall be filled by competent authority duly following the procedures prescribed under G.O.Ms.No.70, HM&FW (E1) Dept., Dt. 03.05.2017
Candidates who have already applied for 2025-26 and are listed in the CQ Merit Lists of In-service & Non-service do not need to reapply. All other application requirements notified in the earlier Notifications/Prospectus, dt.18-09-2025 shall remain unchanged.
The Candidates are advised to take a printout and read the Prospectus carefully before applying.

Cut-off date for completion of Internship: 31-07-2025
Service rendered up to 16-04-2025 shall be considered for considering candidates under In-service Quota seats.
Service candidates should not have completed 50 years as on 16-04-2025. Candidates born on or before 16-04-1975 are not eligible for In-service quota seats only.
Security Deposit:
To prevent seat blocking and ensure that valuable seats are effectively utilized during the Phase-III (Mop Up) round, the Competent Authority has decided to collect a refundable security deposit of ₹50,000/- (Rupees Fifty Thousand only) through online payment. This applies to candidates in the Merit List under the Competent Authority Quota and intend to participate in the Phase-III (Mop Up) round of counselling, subject to the following conditions:
i. Refundable Security Deposit:
a) In-Service candidates who do not join the seats allotted to them in Phase-III (Mop Up) round will be forfeited.
b) Non-Service candidates who do not join the seats allotted to them in Phase-III (Mop Up) round or in subsequent stray rounds, if any, will be forfeited and such candidates shall be debarred from participating A.P. State Counselling for admission to PG Medical Courses under both Competent Authority Quota seats & Management Quota seats for subsequent 1 (one) academic year.
ii. If the candidate joins the allotted seat, the Security Deposit amount will be refunded to the candidate after closure of admissions.
iii. If the candidate is not allotted seat, the Security Deposit amount will be refunded to the candidate after closure of admissions.
iv. Also, the Security Deposit will be forfeited if the admission gets cancelled due to any reason. e.g. in case the candidate gives wrong information at the time of registration on the basis of which a seat may be allotted and later cancelled by the Admission Authorities at the time of reporting or fails to produce the required documents at the time of admission (within stipulated time).
Note: Candidates who have paid the security deposit during the Phase-III (Mop Up) round and not allotted any seat will be eligible to exercise web options in the Stray Vacancy Round without having to pay the security deposit again.

• APPLICATION AND PROCESSING FEE INCLUDING LATE FEE ONCE PAID WILL NOT BE REFUNDED OR ADJUSTED TO FUTURE DATE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. HENCE, CANDIDATES ARE ADVISED TO GO THROUGH PROSPECTUS / REGULATIONS BEFORE APPLYING FOR COMPETENT AUTHORITY QUOTA SEATS.
TUITION FEE: The following is the Tuition fee structure for the academic year 2025-26 to be payable for the Competent Authority Quota seats in Private Un-aided Medical Colleges as per G.O.RT.No.777, HM & FW (C1) Department, dated 09-11-2025 of Government of Andhra Pradesh subject to the outcome of the W.P.Nos.32975, 33162 & 35090 of 2022.
