PG Medical Admissions: DME Gujarat issues notice on medical board for PwD candidates, details

Gujarat: The Director of Medical Education (DME Gujarat) has informed the PwD Post Graduate Medical & Dental candidates about the medical board kept for assessing their disability. The list of candidates registered under PwD Category (PG) 2023-24 has also been released.

As per the notice, the candidates who have applied in the PwD category under the admission to the Post Graduate Medical & Dental (MD/MS/Diploma/CPS & MDS) courses of Gujarat state for the academic year 2023-24, the medical board is kept for the assessment of their disability. They are instructed to bring their original disability certificate, all old reports and other necessary documents at the time of assessment of their disability.

The candidate, who will remain absent for verification of their disability by the Medical Board, will have no right to admission under PwD Category.

The details related to the medical board -

1. Venue - Government Spine Institute, Government Physiotherapy College, New Civil Hospital Campus, Asarwa, Ahmedabad

2. Date & Day - 13th July, 2023, Thursday

3. Time - 09:30 am

The list of candidates registered under PwD Category (PG) 2023-24 has also been released. A total of 11 candidates have registered under PwD Category. The detailed list is enclosed in the notice below.

Admission procedure for MD/MS/Diploma/CPS/MDS courses for the academic year 2023-24 will be further proceeded as per the instructions/ guidelines given by the Office of MCC, DGHS, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, New Delhi. So the process for State Quota counselling will be conducted accordingly.

The admission process will be carried out for admission to Government Seats, Management Seats, and NRI Seats of MD/MS/Diploma/MDS Courses in Government and Self-financed Medical & Dental Colleges and admission in CPS Diploma Courses in Government District hospitals and Self-Financed & Private Hospitals for the academic year 2023-24.

The registration process and the document verification process for the above courses just got over. The candidates who have qualified for NEET-PG/MDS for the current academic year and are eligible as per the admission rules of Gujarat State were only allowed to register. The further schedule has not yet been announced. The candidates will have to keep track of the DME official website.
