PhD Entrance: AIIMS releases stages I, II results, notifies on Stage III Assessment January 2024 Session

New Delhi- The results of PhD entrance examination combining both Stage I and Stage II with special weightage for the January 2024 session have been declared by the examination department of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS). In this regard, AIIMS has issued a notice detailing the departmental clinical/practical/lab-based assessment for Stage III.

The PhD program entrance examination for Stages and II with PhD special weightage was held on February 9, 2024.

Now, the candidates who appeared for the same are informed to appear for the Departmental Clinical/Practical/lab-based assessment (Phase-III) through video conferencing mode. The assessment will be held on 1st March but the timing of each department is different.

The time for each department is indicated below-

It is important for the candidates to note that candidates declared successful after Stage III approved by the competent authority will be eligible to choose any project available in the concerned department for which the PhD seat is advertised in this session. Candidates without fellowship will not be eligible for seats for which fellowship is mandatory. However, candidates having fellowships will be eligible for all the seats in the concerned department.

Further, the candidate who has applied under own fellowship and has not submitted a valid certificate as per the prospectus and if no fellowship is available in the project, they are not eligible for further consideration.

Therefore, candidates are required to upload scanned copies of certain certificates/documents (as applicable) on the AIIMS website, which is mentioned in the notice, using their credentials for login as mentioned in the notice through My Page.

Documents are as follows-

1Date of Birth Certificate.

2 Graduation Certificate.

3 Graduation Mark Sheet.

4 Post-graduation certificate.

5 Post-graduation Mark Sheet.

6 No Objection Certificate, if required.

7Experience Certificate, if any.

Candidates can submit documents from Tuesday, February 20th, 2024, until Thursday, February 22nd, 2024, by 05:00 PM. If the documents are not uploaded by 05.00 PM on Thursday, February 22, 2024, the candidature will be considered as cancelled/withdrawn and no communication in this regard will be entertained. Therefore candidates are requested not to wait till the last moment to upload the required certificates/documents. There is no need to send hard copies/photocopies of the certificates/documents to the Examination Section, AIIMS, New Delhi

Failure to upload documents by the specified deadline will result in the cancellation or withdrawal of the candidature, with no further communication entertained. Hence, candidates are urged not to delay in uploading the necessary certificates/documents.

Meanwhile, it has been instructed that all original certificates/documents will be verified at the time of joining. Candidates should be prepared to remain available online on the day of the departmental assessment till the completion of the State-III Departmental Assessment (Online Mode). All candidates should also note that the selection/result of the examination is subject to the fulfilment of the eligibility and other requirements mentioned in the prospectus.
