West Bengal- The West Bengal Medical Counselling Committee (WBMCC) has released an information Bulletin regarding the counselling for West Bengal NEET PG Medical (MD, MS, DNB Degree and Diploma) State Quota, Private Management Quota and NRI Quota seats 2024.

The details regarding the required documents, Eligibility and important information on the counselling for the academic year 2024 are mentioned below:

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR NRI QUOTA SEATS OF WEST BENGAL 2024

The NRI quota in the Private institutions in West Bengal in 2024 are also going to be filled up by online counselling which is to be conducted by the WBMCC of Dept of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of West Bengal through the same online portal used for conducting counselling for WB State Quota PG Medical seats 2024.

The candidates qualified for NEET PG 2024 (UR and EWS cut off 50 percentile, UR PwD and EWS PwD cut off 45 percentile, SC, ST, OBC A, OBC B, SC PwD, ST PwD, 0BC PwD, 0BC A PwD and OBC B PwD cut off 40 percentile) and fulfil the criterion of eligibility of NRI quota seats are only be considered in NRI Quota seats. There is no caste reservation, however, a valid caste certificate is only required for the cut-off eligibility.

During registration, an eligible and qualified candidate will be asked to state whether he/she belongs to NRI or PIO (People of Indian origin) or OCI (Overseas Citizen of India). If the candidate states in affirmative then he/she can proceed further as NR/PIO/OCI Candidate and would be eligible for Online application followed by Online counselling, fee payment and generation of Candidate Profile Letter and Physical document verification at Swasthya Bhavan on specific dates as designated by NIC software. Once successfully verified such candidates become eligible for choice filling and consideration for allotment in NRI quota seats only as per inter se merit.

Such candidates cannot participate in State Quota or Private Management Quota seats. Similarly, candidates, who are otherwise eligible for State Quota and Or Private College Management quota seats are not allowed for choice filling in NRI Quota seats for obvious reasons. After verification of the NRI/PIO/0CI candidates, the allotment to NRI quota seats will be based on NEET PG Medical 2024 combined merit rank without consideration of otherwise caste/category/quota.

The candidates who opt to change the status of Indian to NRI have to email the designated email ID of the Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) of DGHS, Govt. of India within the stipulated time to be considered for NRI quota seats. The candidates, who claim for NRI QUota seats under eligible NRI sponsorship, shall have to submit the Embassy (Consulate) Certificate of the NRI sponsor. In view of the short time frame of document verification, they may submit the proof of application for the Embassy Certificate of the Sponsor at the time of document verification along with recent valid utility bills as applicable in support of such claim. However, in such case, the verification of documents, allotment if any in the NRI Quota seats and subsequent admission shall be purely provisional. If at any stage it is found that the candidate has provided false/forged documents or has provided misinformation regarding the NRI status of self/sponsor, then the candidature shall be summarily rejected.

As per the directions of the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India, the OCI card holders may also apply for NRI QUota seats or else they may also apply as Indian candidates as per their sweet wishes in the counselling process. However, once registered for NRI quota seats they cannot claim back for State Quota/Management Quota seats or vice versa. Candidates are advised to contact the concerned college for details of fees and mode of payment before filling out such choices as after allotment in a particular round. The WBMCC will not have any liability and shall not be held responsible for fee-related issues of private Medical colleges.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR PRIVATE MANAGEMENT QUOTA SEATS IN PG MEDICAL 2024

The Management Quota in the Private Institutions in West Bengal in 2024 are also going to be filled up by online counselling which is to be conducted by WBMCC of Dept of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of West Bengal through the same online portal used for conducting counselling for WB State Quota PG Medical seats 2024. The Indian National candidates qualified in NEET PG Medical 2024, irrespective of MBBS passing State and Permanent Residence State, are eligible to participate for allotment in Private Management Quota seats in West Bengal. The candidates qualified for NEET PG 2024 (UR/EWS cut off 50 percentile; UR PwD/EWS PwD cut off 45 percentile; SC/ST/OBC A/OBC B/SC PwD/ST PwD/OBC PwD/OBC A PwD/OBC B PwD cut off 40 percentile) are eligible for management quota seats. There is no seat reservation (EWS/SC/ST/OBC/OBCA/OBCB/ PwD) in Private Management Quota seats, so all eligible and willing candidates have to appear as per combined rank. However, a valid caste certificate is only required for cut-off eligibility as mentioned before for such category of seats. Candidates who are eligible to participate in the West Bengal state quota seats 2024 are also eligible to participate in the Private Management Quota seat allotment if they wish so. Any candidate who is a citizen of India and has permanent residence in the State of West Bengal or outside the State of West Bengal who is qualified through NEET PG Medical 2024 can apply for the management quota of the Private Medical College in West Bengal (as applicable). The names of the Private Medical colleges shall be provided in the participating college information section.

In the Private management quota seats of West Bengal 2024, the approved fee structure of such seats will be informed to the candidate on the counselling website. The candidates are requested to contact the concerned colleges for payment of fee at the time of admission and the mode of such payment along with bond/bank guarantee if any as applicable for the said college before putting up choices for such seats during the choice filling period of counselling. The WBMCC shall not be held responsible for fee-related issues of private Medical colleges.

STEPS FOR COUNSELLING

STEP 1- Online Registration & Application & Fee Payment.

STEP 2- Physical Document Verification of the successfully paid candidate.

STEP 3- Choice filling and Choice locking of the successfully verified candidates.

STEP 4- Publication of processed Result of allotment based on eligibility of candidates.

The list of the original documents (as applicable) along with self-attested photocopies (one copy per document) to be produced by the candidate at the time of physical verification-

1 NEETPG 2024 Admit card.

2 NEETPG 2024 Rank card.

3 Any two of (the EPIC, Aadhar and Passport) of the candidate.

4 Age proof (Birth certificate/class 10 admit card/certificate.

5 Any two of (EPIC, Aadhar and Passport) of the candidate/any one of the Parents issued in the State of West Bengal.

6 Relevant domicile certificates signed by the appropriate authority.

7 MBBScertificate.

8 3°Prof. MBBS part or, final MBBS Mark Sheet.

9 Permanent Registration certificate issued from Medical Council of India/State Medical Council.

10 Caste certificate (issued by the appropriate authority in West Bengal).

11 Non-creamy layer certificates in proper format and issued on o rafter 01.04.2024.

12 PwD certificate issued from IPGME&R Kolkata.

13 As per NMC notification dated 20.03.2024 the internship cutoff date for NEET PG 2024 candidates is 15.08.2024.

14 Proof of previous Degree if applicable and completed by 15.08.2024.

15 EWScertificate(issued by the appropriate authority in West Bengal on or after 01.04.2024.

16 Proof of indemnity bond(or any other bond as applicable)formalities completed by 15.08.2024.

17 ID card of present employmentand No Objection Certificate from present employer and Certificate from present employer stating 3yrs.of regular service in the State of WB, along with mention of the present place of posting. Such letter must also clearly Indicate whether the candidate would like to avail stipend from the admitted institute or would avail salary from his/her present employer during the PG training period. In case of stipend availed the candidate has to serve like other open candidates the indemnity bond after the successful completion of the course.

18 Candidate Profile Letter as generated from the counselling website.

19 Declaration letter to the Dept of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of WB to the effect that incumbents for the in-service seats fulfil all the conditions/eligibility for service quota and Trainee Reserve.

20 Certificate from the institute in charge or custodian of the service book to the effect that incumbents for the in-service seats fulfil all the conditions/eligibility for service quota.

21 Posting order and joining report for claiming in-service category seats under 'Dept of Health and Family Welfare' in WBHS/WBMES/WBPHAS.

Meanwhile, the following documents are required for the candidates who want to participate in NRI quota seat counselling-

1 Affidavit of the person who is NRI and the sponsor.

2 Documents claiming that the sponsor is an NRI(Passport, Visa of the sponsor).

3 Relationship of NRI sponsor with the candidate.

4 Affidavit from the sponsorer that he/ she will sponsor the entire course fee of the candidate.

5 Embassy certificates of the sponsor.

6 NEET PG 2024 Admit card and Rank card (only NEET PG qualified candidates can apply).

7 MBBS all mark sheets and MBBS certificate.

8 Internship completion certificate (it must be completed on or before 15.08.2024.

9 Registration certificate of MCI/ State Medical Council.

10 Undertaking of the candidate that s/he is not presently admitted anywhere through All India Quota (AIQ) counselling or any State Quota (SQ) counselling or DNB counselling held in 2024 or earlier [if the candidate is pursuing any PG course or any other regular course, it must be completed by 15.08. 2024.
