3rd year MBBS student commits suicide by hanging self in hostel room in Kurnool

Nellore: In an unfortunate incident, a third-year MBBS student of Vishwabharati Medical College in Kurnool allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself from the ceiling in her hostel room on Monday. 

While investigating the case, the police found that no suicide note was left behind by the student in the scene which indicates that the reason behind the extreme step remains unknown until further probe into the case. Although the police suspect love failure to be the cause of the suicide, it is not confirmed yet.

The deceased was a native of Kavali, located in the Nellore district who was staying at the hostel of the college. 

On June 26 morning, when his classmates went to his room to check up on him, they discovered the shocking scenario of the student hanging from the ceiling fan. Panicked to see the dead body hanging from the fan, they first informed the hostel management and then the police.

After reaching there, the police took the dead body down and shifted it to Kurnool Government Hospital for postmortem.

His sudden demise came as a shock to his family members and friends when informed by the police. 

As per a media report in The Hans India, a case has been registered and an investigation is underway. In an attempt to uncover the reason for behind his death, the police are questioning his friends and family members. 

Police are currently searching for any information that would shed light on whether disputes or emotional issues were involved in the incident. Hence, they have taken Lokesh's phone and laptop into their custody for forensic examination.
