Amrita School of Medicine ranked7th best Medical College in India: NIRF India Ranking 2020

Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham was once again ranked the top best university in India behind other well-established and prestigious public institutions such as the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore; Jawaharlal Nehru University, Delhi; and Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi. In 2019, AmritaVishwa Vidyapeetham was ranked the 8^th best.

Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham and the Vellore Institute of Technology are the only two private engineering institutes to find a place in the Top 20 engineering institutes of India in NIRF Ranking 2020.

Amrita School of Medicine was ranked 7^th best medical college in the county after All India Institute of Medical Sciences New Delhi, Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh; Christian Medical College, Vellore; National Institute of Mental Health & Neuro Sciences, Bengaluru; Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences, Lucknow; and Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi. It is ahead of several prestigious institutions in the NIRF Ranking 2020 like JIPMER Puducherry; Kasturba Medical College Manipal; and others.
