JIPMER calls for abstracts from students, residents, research scholars, details
Puducherry- The Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) has announced about the upcoming Research Day celebration via a recent notice. The notice specifies that undergraduate students, postgraduate students, senior residents, research scholars, research staff and faculty will be allowed to present their research papers during the function. Meanwhile, students, residents and research scholars are requested to submit their abstracts online through a link mentioned in the notice by the end of this month.
Following the notice, students, residents, and research scholars can submit their abstracts by clicking the “Submit Abstract” button mentioned in the notice. According to the notice, “The last date for submitting abstracts is 31st January 2024. Abstracts once submitted can be edited until 31.01.2024. Please note that a Google login will be required because this and other features are enabled. The length of the abstract should be limited to the character count indicated in the form”.
JIPMER is going to celebrate its 9th Research Day Celebration on 9th March 2024. During the celebration, a few prizes and awards will be given during the function “Research prizes based on papers presented in the following categories- Undergraduate: GJ STRAUS/ICMR STS (MBBS/Nursing/AHS), Postgraduate: MSc/MPH/Biostatistics, Junior residents (MD/MS), Senior residents (including DM/MCh), PhD scholars, Non-student research staff, Faculty (research in progress), and Faculty (published research)”. Also, “Faculty research awards based on research contribution over the last five years- Faculty research award in Clinical/Nursing Sciences (1), and Faculty research award in Basic Sciences (1)”, as per as mentioned in the circular.
The notice also further states that “Each faculty/research scholar/resident/student can submit only ONE abstract for presentation. Submission of more than one abstract as a presenter will lead to automatic disqualification. Only original work should be submitted. Case reports/reviews/other types of manuscripts will not be considered”.
