Puducherry: Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) has invited online applications for Best All Rounder Undergraduate Medical Students (MBBS) for the years 2020, 2021 & 2022.

The students who wish to compete for the award will have to apply through email academicpolicy@jipmer.edu.in with the scanned copy of documents on or before 13th August 2022. The endowment prize is instituted by Dr. K.S. Sridhar Memorial JIPMER Alumni Association and Shri. M.C. Rama Varma Valia Raja Memorial.

Eligibility criteria –

1. All those students who joined in the year 2014, 2015, and 2016 at JIPMER for their MBBS Course completed the Internship before 15th January 2020, 15th January 2021, and 15th January 2022, respectively

2. Those who have passed all the annual examinations on the first attempt during their MBBS course are eligible for consideration of the above-said award/prize.

The total number of points allotted to the students will be 200 points.

Point-wise bifurcation to be allotted to the students –

1. Academic performance (As per the Percentage of Marks obtained in the University Examination) - 100 Points

2. Internship (Maximum) - 10 Points

3. Sports (Maximum) - 10 points

4. Cultural/Fine Arts (Maximum) – 10 Points

5. Literary and Debating (Maximum) - 10 points

6. Blood Donation (Maximum) (One point for each donation) - 5 points

7. JSA activity (Maximum) – 5 points

8. Presentation of papers in the Conference (Maximum) - (Poster presentation will not be considered) Similar/same papers presented in more than one forum will be taken as one presentation for the award of points) – 15 Points

9. Research Activities (Maximum) - 35 points

The detailed bifurcation list under each category is enclosed in the notice below. Out of the above 9 items, an applicant/student should have earned points in at least 5 out of 7 items.
