KGMU asks students to submit form, fee for PC PNDT Regular Exam, Last date 25th April

Uttar Pradesh- Through a recent notice, King George's Medical University (KGMU) has asked the candidates appearing for Pre-Conception and Pre-Natal Diagnostic Techniques (PCPNDT) to submit the examination fee and examination form. Candidates can submit the examination fee and form for the PCPNDT exam till 25th of April 2024.

As per the notice, “Candidates who have to appear for the examination are requested to deposit the examination fee (through electronic transfer) in the office of Finance Officer, King George Medical University UP”.

Further, the candidates are also asked to submit the duly filled examination form to the office of the Controller of Examinations by affixing their recent passport-size photographs on the examination form along with the fee receipt.

PCPNDT Regular Exams of KGMU is scheduled to be held on 18th May 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Administrative Block, King George Medical, University UP, Lucknow.

Fee & Form will not be accepted after the last date as mentioned above of any conditions & it will be presumed that the candidate is not desirous for appearing ensuing examination, the notice further added.

The Pre-Conception and Pre-Natal Diagnostic Techniques (PCPNDT) Act was introduced in 1994. The Parliament of India enacted the PCPNDT Act intending to prevent female foeticides and the declining sex ratio in India. Under this act, all genetic counselling centres, genetic laboratories, or genetic clinics involved in counselling or performing pre-natal diagnostic techniques, such as in vitro fertilisation (IVF) with the possibility of sex selection (Preimplantation genetic diagnosis) before and after conception, fall within the scope of the PCPNDT Act and are prohibited.
