KGMU issues guidelines for 22nd convocation ceremony scheduled for July 13

Lucknow: King George's Medical University (KGMU), Lucknow, has issued detailed instructions for awardees, medal recipients and graduating undergraduate and postgraduate students who will participate in the university's 22nd Convocation Ceremony scheduled for July 13, 2026.

The university has called for attendance at a rehearsal session and outlined guidelines regarding dress code, guest entry, reporting time, and conduct during the event to ensure the smooth conduct of the prestigious academic ceremony.

1. All degree/Medal/Degree Recipients (UG-PG) to attend rehearsal on 11.07.2026 from 12.00 P.M. onwards at Scientific Convention Centre, KGMU UP, Lucknow.

2. We are pleased to invite your parents (2) to attend the function. Please note that siblings/children are not allowed.

3. Please inform us by 30 June, 2026 that you/your parents will be able to attend/not attend thought google form by 30th June, 2026. This will help us to pereepar better. In case we do not hear from you by 30th June, 2026 we will understand that you /your parents are not able to attend the function.

4. Dress Code- White Shirt, Blue trousers, and Black shoes with black socks for all male students.

5. Pink Saree and Black Belly shoes with high heel for all female students.

6. Mobiles are not allowed at the venue.
7. All MBBS / BDS Final year students and all Awardees/ Medal/Degree Recipients are requested to be seated one hours before on the Convocation maintain silence and not loiter around. After 10:30 A.M. they will be treated absent.
8. Be attentive and follow instructions given by Organizers during ceremony (awardees have to stand at their places when appropriate announcements are made, medal recipients have to move to dais as per instructions; appropriate instructions will be given during rehearsal).
9. Not to move from the seats till dignitaries have left the venue after ceremony.
10. Food is arranged for all participants
