In this message, he apologised to his parents and brother. He also requested his brother to come from the United States and stay with parents, IANS reports

Hailing from Peddapalli district, the student had recently appeared for second year theory exams while practical exams were scheduled from Monday and it was reported that he was preparing for the practical exam.

According to college principal Indira, he had studied with classmates till 2 a.m. Later, the students left for their respective rooms.

Police said he was found hanging from the ceiling fan with a bedsheet. "The reasons for the suicide are still not known. We are investigating," a police officer said.

The incident was discovered by his roommate on Friday morning who found the door was locked from inside when he tried to enter the room. The roommate thought that the student was sleeping and tried to wake him up by calling him multiple times. However, the student did not respond. Following this, the roommate called other students and broke open the door and witnessed the horrific scene of him hanging dead from the ceiling.

They immediately alerted the hostel administration and police reached the spot.

When asked about his whereabouts before the incident, the roommate said that he wen to to another hostel room to study on Thursday night.

According to the statements of the college administration and his friends, the deceased was a brilliant student and had no issues with his studies. Moreover, he had good relation with his family. Therefore, it is difficult to ascertain why he took the extreme step.

Explaining the issue more, Dr B V Nagamohan Rao, Professor and HoD of Forensic Medicine and also the Chief Warden of the boys hostel told The Indian Express "He did not show any signs of being upset with his performance in the recently concluded written exams. In the text message he said that after writing the first exam itself he had decided to end his life but after speaking with his parents and brother he stopped."

"He asked his brother who is abroad to return home and take care of his parents. Last night, he spent several hours studying for the practical exams and went back to the room in the wee hours. He was good in his studies, I cannot understand why he took his life. He also did not display any symptoms of depression or if he was upset about his performance in the exams,’’ Dr Rao added.

A case was registered under Section 174 of IPC (death occurring under unnatural circumstances). The police have informed that they are currently investigating the case to find the motive behind the suicide.

The deceased is the second student of Nizamabad Medical College to commit suicide in a month this year.

Earlier, a final year MBBS student, had hanged himself in hostel room on February 25. He hailed from Adilabad district. He was a bright student and used to get good marks in all the exams. College authorities said that he had health issues and he might have resorted to the extreme step due to it.
