MP Shocker: Third Prof MBBS students found cheating in exam, had surgically implanted Bluetooth in their ear
Indore: In the ongoing professional MBBS exams being held at MGM Medical College Indore, two medicos have been caught red-handed cheating in their MBBS Third Prof (Part II) examination. They were purportedly using micro-sized Bluetooth devices surgically installed in their ears.
According to a recent report by the Free Pres journal, the incident took place in the MGM Medical College where the paper of General Medicine , Third Prof (Part) examination was being held. The examination centre had about 80 students from three different medical colleges namely MGM Medical College, Aurobindo Medical College, and Indus Medical College.
For conducting a surprise inspection, the flying squad of Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV) raided the examination centre at MGM Medical College.The flying squad members included Dr. Vivek Sathe, and Dr. Chetali Uikey.
According to the information received from the flying squad, when they searched a student on suspicion, he found a mobile in his pocket. The phone (call) was on. Bluetooth was also connected. The Bluetooth was very small and seemed to be surgically implanted in the ear. When one such student was suspicious, he was searched, the T-shirt was taken off and a chipped electronic device was found in his vest. Whose wire was sewn with the support of the vest. This student also had surgical Bluetooth implanted in the ear. When the caught child which was being checked, the flying squad saw another student nervous and adjusting his shirt. His moves were spotted by the squad members and they searched him too. When he was made to take off his shirt, a small electronic device was found hidden in his vest. The device was connected with a thin wire which reached till his collar. The squad said that this device, too, was connected to some bluetooth device, which was also, perhaps, installed in his ear surgically, adds the daily.
The squad members confiscated the device and checked it. A SIM was found inside the device.The squad members confiscated the mobiles phones and action was taken on the students for this cheating. "We confiscated the equipment and registered cases of use of unfair means (UFM) in the exam. The cases will be placed before the UFP committee for deciding on the punishment. The university will also serve notices on the examination centre for negligence" , Rachna Thakur , the deputy registrar (DAVV) told The Free Press Journal.
