Renewal or increase intake of MBBS seats 2022-23: NMC gives deadline to medical colleges for submission of affidavit
New Delhi: Through a recent notice, the National Medical Commission (NMC) has informed all medical colleges about the deadline to submit the affidavit for Renewal of annual intake or increase intake of MBBS seats for the Academic Year 2022-23.
Earlier in the month of September, the NMC, after the declaration of NEET 2022 results, had allowed the due renewal of permission and recognition or continuation of recognition to all medical colleges based on certain conditions.
These permissions and recognitions will be allowed based on a sworn affidavit for the academic year 2022-2023 duly signed by the medical colleges' authorities. However, the NMC warned the institutes that surprise inspections will be conducted as per their track record and decisions will be taken according to the assessment reports.
"As the counselling of NEET (UG) is going to start in the month of September/October 2022, there are colleges where we are waiting for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th renewals, for all of them, it has been decided to give allow of renewal of permission on the basis of sworn affidavit for the academic year 2022-2023," the notification released by the NMC had mentioned.
