Sagar Medical College to get additional 150 MBBS seats
Bhopal: Due to the low number of medical seats at an existing medical institution, the Madhya Pradesh government has decided to increase the number of MBBS seats from 100 to 250 at Sagar Medical College so that more medical aspirants can pursue medicine there.
While National Medical Commission has been granting 150 MBBS seats to new medical colleges across the country following its draft on increasing seats for Medical Education Regulations 2023, the existing medical college in the state with 100 MBBS seats is facing inconvenience.
As per a media report in naidunia, Sagar Medical College has the least number of seats in the six old medical colleges of the state. In response, the concerned authorities have sent a proposal regarding the increase of MBBS seats at the Sagar medical college to the cabinet and a reply in this regard is expected to be released soon.
