NEET, NEET PG, AYUSH Admissions 2021: Maha CET Cell issues notice for PwD candidates, details
Mumbai: Through a recent notice, the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra State ( MAHACET CELL) has asked the PwD candidates seeking MBBS, BDS, AYUSH, MD and MS admissions to appear before the Medical Board at any of the designated disability centres and get themselves examined before the last date of the registration process.
As per the above the concerned act & rules, Persons with Disability have 5% reservation in State Quota Counselling of Health Science Courses .
Directorate General of Health Services, Medical Council Committee, Govt. of India, New Delhi has designated 15 centres for identifying disabilities out of 21 bench mark disabilities and issuing PWD Certificate as per MCI guidelines. The list of authorized centres is mentioned below.
Accordingly, NEET-UG-2021/ NEET-PG-2021/ AIA-PGET-2021 qualified candidates who wish to claim PWD quota reservation should appear before the Medical Board at any of the designated disability centre and get themselves examined before the last date of registration process. It will be the responsibility of the candidate to produce PWD Certificate from the above mentioned board and upload the same within stipulated time, the Maha CET Cell has stated in the notice.
Candidates should note that PWD Certificate from any other Hospital/ Civil Surgeon will not be considered.
The Maha CET Cell has recently began its registration process for NEET Admissions. The last date to apply as of now is 05/01/2022 upto 11.59 pm
MCC of DGHS has designated Disability Certification Centres for providing Disability Certificates to PwD candidates after examination and quantification of their percentage of disability in support of their claim to avail PwD reservation in Medical courses (UG/ Broad Speciality PG courses). Till date there were 13 such Disability Certification Centres authorized by MCC of DGHS.
