NMC specifies Last Date for NEET PG, SS Counselling, directs Medical colleges to submit admissions info
New Delhi : The ongoing counselling for the postgraduate and super specialty courses is coming to an end as the National Medical Commission (NMC) has informed that the last date of admission in MD/MS/Diploma courses for the academic year 2021-2022 is tomorrow, i.e. May 7, 2022.
Issuing a notice in this regard, NMC, the apex medical education regulatory body has further mentioned that the last date for admission to D.M/M.Ch/DNB (Super-specialty) courses has ended on April 30, 2022.
In another notice, NMC has directed the medical colleges to fill up the information related to admission in Postgraduate courses for the academic year 2021-2022 by extending the last date to May 9, 2022.
"If no data is uploaded on the portal in the stipulated time, then the Medical Colleges/Institutes will be required to fill up the details by physically visiting NMC along with the reason for not filling up the details in time," NMC mentioned in the notice.
Last Date for Admission in Postgraduate/Superspecialty Courses:
NMC in the notice dated 05.05.2022 has informed that the last date for admission to MD/MS/Diploma courses is May 7, 2022. As for the Super-specialty D.M/M.Ch/DNB courses, the last date for admission was on April 30, 2022, mentioned the notice.
The last date of admission in All India Quota and State Quota Counselling for Post Graduate (MD/MS/ Diploma) Courses and D.M /M.Ch Courses is as under :

"Accordingly, the last dates of PG/SS Counselling for the academic year 2021 may be notified on NMC website has information knowledge of State Counselling authorities /Medical Colleges," NMC mentioned in the notice.
Online Filling of Information:
In another notice, issued on the same date, i.e. May 5, 2022, NMC has notified about the online filling of Information relating to admission made in medical college/postgraduate institute for postgraduate medical courses for the academic year 2021-2022.
"Reference to this office's circular dated 05.04.2022 on the subject matter wherein all the colleges were requested for online filling of information related to admissions made for post graduate medical courses for the academic year 2021-22. As mentioned in the circular, the last date for filling up the information online was 2 days after last date of admission. However, due to persistent change in the last date of admission, colleges are not able to fill up the final details," NMC mentioned in the notice.
"All the Medical Colleges/Institutes in India are hereby informed that the last date of filling information relating to admission made for Post Graduate (Broad and Super Specialty) for the Academic year 2021-22 on the NMC portal has been extended to 09.05.2022," the notice stated.
"If not data is uploaded on the portal in the stipulated time, then the Medical College/Institutes will be required to fill up the details by physically visiting NMC along with the reason for not filling the details in time," it added.
"No physical/manual data will be accepted whatsoever is the reason," stated the NMC notice issued by Aujender Singh, the Deputy Secretary of PGMEB.
