Tamil Nadu- Through a recent notice, Tamil Nadu (Health) has invited Compulsory Rotating Medical Internship (CRMI) training applications from Foreign Medical Graduates (FMG).

As per the notice, it is informed that FMG candidates who want CRMI training in Government Medical Colleges and have obtained eligibility certificates from Tamil Nadu Medical Council and NOC from Tamil Nadu Dr MGR Medical University, Chennai from 06 February 2024 to 15 February March 2024 are instructed to submit some original documents for verification.

Documents for allotment for CRMI training must be submitted at the Help Desk of the Director of Medical Education and Research, Ground Floor, from 18 to 25 March 2024, Monday to Saturday from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Below is a list of documents that FMG candidates need to submit. Certain documents must be original, and some should be photocopies with self-attestation:

1. Requisition Letter from Individual to Director of Medical Education and Research (With contact details and Mail ID) — Original

2. No Objection Certificate (NOC) From TN. Dr. MGR Medical University — (Xerox Copy with Self Attestation)

3. Eligibility Certificate from Tamil Nadu Medical Council (Xerox Copy with Self Attestation)

4. Screening Test Pass Certificate (Xerox Copy with Self Attestation)

5. Eligibility Certificate from Medical Council of India (Xerox Copy with Self Attestation)

6. Degree Certificate / Provisional Pass Certificate from parent institution (Xerox Copy with Self Attestation)

7. No Objection Certificate from the studied foreign institution (Xerox Copy with Self Attestation).

The Compulsory Rotating Medical Internship (CRMI) is a one-year of compulsory work in hospitals attached to a medical college or in any other approved teaching hospital before becoming qualified to practice as an independent doctor or dentist. This is considered an important process for doctors completing their medical studies. It is also known as Compulsory Rotatory Residential Internship (CRRI).
