Doctor Suicide
Pune: In an unfortunate incident, a 25-year-old BHMS (Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery) doctor from Bibvewadi allegedly committed suicide by consuming poison in her clinic after being deceived by a man she met on a matrimonial website. The man, who hid his marital status, allegedly promised to marry her and extorted Rs 10 lakh from her.
The accused, despite being married, created a profile on a matrimonial website as a single person and entered into a romantic relationship with the doctor, promising to marry her. However, after extorting money from her, he confessed to being married and revealed that his wife was pregnant. This revelation reportedly caused severe emotional distress and shock to the doctor, which is believed to be the reason behind her taking such an extreme step.
