45-year-old doctor found dead in his farm in Karnataka

Gadag: In a shocking incident, a 45-year-old doctor who was missing for four days was found dead in a well at his farm near Ron town in Gadag district on Sunday. 

A case has been registered by the police and it is suspected that the doctor had committed suicide. However, the cause of her death will be determined after the release of the postmortem report.

The doctor was a medical officer at a primary health centre in Nidagundi of Gajendragad Taluk.

It is uncertain to determine when the doctor committed suicide since he was missing for four days. While the police were searching for him, his family members found his body late on Sunday night. Following this, the police were informed and a preliminary investigation was conducted upon their arrival.

According to the police, the doctor was suffering from depression due to his paralysis. Over time, he became stressed and decided to end his life. 

"Prima facie, it looks like he died by suicide. However, we are investigating the case," the police informed TOI.

A case has been registered and an investigation is under process.
