Ayurvedic doctor found murdered at residence in Karnataka's Sirsi
Doctor Living Alone Killed in Sirsi, Police Investigate Robbery Motive
Karwar: In a disturbing incident in Karnataka's Sirsi, a well-known Ayurvedic practitioner was found murdered at his residence just days before his scheduled wedding.
According to the news reports, the 51-year-old doctor had been living alone since the death of his wife several months ago. The incident came to light when relatives arrived at his house to make preparations for the wedding ceremony, but found the door locked from the inside. After repeated attempts to contact him failed, they broke open the door and discovered his body with severe head injuries.

The doctor ran an Ayurvedic clinic on Hubballi Road. His first wife had passed away due to a heart attack just five months ago. He was preparing to marry his late wife’s sister, with the wedding scheduled to take place at the Manjuguni temple. The murder occurred just a day before the ceremony, reports Asia Net.
His sudden and tragic death has left family members, friends, and neighbours in deep shock.
Police suspect theft as a possible motive. Sources indicated that the doctor had recently brought home jewellery belonging to his late wife from a bank, intending to hand it over to his prospective bride. Investigators are now examining whether any valuables are missing, while also exploring other possible angles.
The doctor’s children were not present at the time of the incident. One is studying engineering in Bengaluru, while the other is working as a doctor in West Bengal.
Senior police officials, including SP Deepan and CPI Shashikant Verma, inspected the crime scene. “We are verifying whether any valuables are missing and collecting forensic evidence. Multiple teams have been formed to trace the accused,” police said, reports Hans India.
The incident has caused concern among residents in and around the Karwar district, with locals urging police to ensure swift action. Authorities have assured that all efforts are being made to solve the case at the earliest.
