Ballari: District Health and Family Welfare Officer Yalla Ramesh Babu has ordered the sealing of several clinics in Ballari district after finding individuals practising medicine without valid medical qualifications. The action followed the complaints regarding unqualified practitioners treating patients.
According to news reports, a clinic run by a fake doctor, located near Kolmi Chowk on Mullangi Sanjeevappa Street in Ballari city, was sealed after authorities found that he had been treating patients while falsely presenting himself as a qualified doctor. In another case, a clinic in Kudatini village run by another fake doctor was also sealed. According to health officials, he had studied only up to Class 10 and was providing medical treatment based on informal knowledge, without holding any authorised medical qualification.
