Dayanand Medical College Hospital doctor felicitated with National Award

New Delhi: Dr Sarit Sharma, a Professor of Community Medicine at the Dayanand Medical College and Hospital, has been honoured with the prestigious Dr S 37th Radhakrishnan Memorial National Teachers Award-2021, on the occasion of Teacher's Day.

Teacher's day is celebrated across the country as the birth anniversary of the late President Dr S Radhakrishnan, on September 5th. Teachers who have made a difference in their fields are bestowed with this honour.

This year, one of the recipients of the award was Dr Sarit Sharma, a doctor who specializes in Community Medicine. Union minister Ramdas Athawale felicitated Dr Sarit Sharma with the prestigious 37th Dr S Radhakrishnan Memorial National Teachers Award-2021.

The award was given during a function organised to commemorate the 134th birth anniversary of former President late Dr S Radhakrishnan by the association of freelance journalists and writers of India in New Delhi.

As many as 35 eminent persons from across the country were felicitated for their contribution in the fields of education, medical education, media, and social services, reports HT.
